Notre Dame vs Connecticut, even with the loss of Achonwa.

UConn was undefeated in 1995, 2002, 2009, and 2010. The last three times UConn was undefeated, OU made it to the Final Four.

I'm kinda getting a feeling that ND is on a mission this year and will pull the upset (not big upset) on Tuesday. Muffet knows how to beat UConn and I think maybe this is her year. I think ND has been more impressive in the tourney. Should be a good game!

I expect UCONN to win because they have a great defense and a killer mentality.

Right now, Notre Dame is playing better than UConn. UConn seems to have trouble getting out of the gate in the last three games. Notre Dame is hot and shooting well, while UConn seems not to be up to par. So, I would lean to ND----except----

ND is missing Achonwa, which hurts, and UConn has some interior size that may give ND trouble. I don't know how ND will contend with Dolson and Stewart, even with Stewart being a bit down this tournament. I think UConn wins a war.

I'd love to see ND get into the UConn bench. Stanford's passivity caused them to shoot no free throws in the first half and allowed UConn to commit just 10 fouls in the game. If ND's outstanding wing players continue to be aggressive and earn some calls, I like it's chances.

Unless there is really better talent on the other team, I will always bet on Geno. I have no idea if I would want him coaching someone I loved, but he can coach. So I go with Uconn and though I am usually for the underdog, I also am for public schools over private thus I even want Uconn to win.

I like the artistry of well-coached basketball, and these are the two best in the business right now at getting exactly what they want out of the players. They are the only two coaches that I rate above Sherri, and I think Sherri would be as good if she had the recruiting base that they have, as well as the luck not to lose so many of the best to ACL injuries.

When Muffet and Geno go against each other, I just want to enjoy the game. Last year, I think UConn ended a streak that ND had against them. This should be a great game to watch with players doing what they do best. The one who has the best day will win, and I will just be pleased that it is due to good players and good coaching.

I'm no fan of Geno either but he is the best coach in the country. I won't be surprised if UCONN wins by 10.

I like both teams and both coaches. You would think that UConn would have the edge since ND is missing an important cog, but stranger things have happened.

Hope UCONN and Geno win. The only time I would be for ND ever in any sport is when and if they play Texas.
