At this point Kruger gets a D at best.

That is ridiculous and the fact that OU fans act like the AD is beyond criticism is just weird. Under joes watch OU has gone on probation inat least three sports. He flat out lied about drinking in the new stadium. I personally read the promotional materials and the AD sold the Club Level with alcohol as part of the deal. He has made his fair share of mistakes.

With that said, I still give him a passing grade because the AD is in the black and football got better under his watch. I just don't have the love affair with the guy that some OU fans seem to have.

Only a passing grade? Are you kidding me!!? So the brochure lied. BFD! If anyone got hoodwinked, it was their fault. For your information, Joe C is beyond criticism. When he arrived at OU, the first thing he had to do was clean up the mess he inherited from Steve and David. Your comment about OU having three different sports on probation under Joe's watch is meaningless. If it wasn't for Joe the basketball program would not be where it is today. Instead of hating on Joe, you need to get on board with your checkbook and start supporting the program.

What other programs are you talking about? I think Sheri Coale was around before Joe C. But let's look at his resume:
Bob Stoops - Arguably the best collegiate football coach of the past decade
Jeff Capel - Led OU b-ball to the Elite 8
Sunny Galloway - Made OU baseball relevant again.
Lon Kruger - No matter the struggles with this year's squad, we will still finish better than most people thought preseason and it's his first year.

So what other OU programs are you talking about?

:clap Thank you.

I don't understand the people that love or hate Joe C, I just think he screwed up with the basketball program. Other than baseball (which I don't care much about), I really don't care about the other sports. To the extent those other sports are better, I actually attribute it to Boren more than Joe C. I don't agree with everything Boren has done at OU, but I would give him close to an excellent grade for his tenure.

I agree. I have a lot more respect for DB after reading his wallflower comment last summer. IMO, OU has two of the best university leaders/admins in the country. I am proud of the way DB stood up to Mizzou, aTm and the PAC 12. If it wasn't for David's leadership, WVU might not be joining the Big 12 this year. So far it has been a great year for OU athletics. The football team won the Insight Bowl. Sherri has her guys in third place and poised to make a run in the NCAA tournament. Lon has the men's basketball program on the rise.

Classic Sid.:) You have any opinions on the Lakers right now?? Last time you tore into Kobe, LA won a ring. We could use the help this year for sure!!!! :ez-laugh:

Now, there's at least two Sid didn't fool. :)

I can see him sitting in his favorite chair, laughing at the posters who have taken the bait. :) Actually glad to see Sid back posting. He always kept me on my NBA toes on the NBA board.

Castiglione can't be given credit for hiring Golloway. If you'll remember we had the humiliating episode with Gene Stephenson and after he backed out Golloway was hired by default.

Default!!? What are you smoking? It wasn't Joe's fault GS got cold feet. In the end, everything worked out according to JC's plan. Offering GS the job knowing he would back out was a brilliant move on Joe's part. His foresight saved the university a lot of money.
