Austin Meyer moves to Texas...

No, he played for Long this summer. That is how he gets kids to transfer to Mustang. But Mustang and Long don't recruit. What a joke. Very rarely do you see eastside kids transfer where as many as ten in the OKC area transfer every year. How about the stud Midwest City got this summer that osu offered after his 9th grade year? Put West is just as bad as Mustang. Terry Evans's kid playing at three schools in three years, wow.

No different than the east in football or baseball...

OK section 31 that is always the westside excuse so name me someone that has transferred to Jenks or Union to play football in the last five years. Heck make that 10 years.

Do your own research. Why limit it to a time frame?

But, this past year, I had the opportunity to visit with a prominent Tulsa area player that played at OU. He pretty much confirmed the existence of the football move in in those schools. Who cares.

You can't name any but nice story. Good try. Oh by the way the Put West coach, Lenny, told the Yukon 6'8 center to move last spring break so he would be eligible but he moved to norman North instead. The list of player movement in the OKC area is endless for basketball. I guess kids there don't grow up wanting to play for school where they live, too bad.

Who cares? Seems like it really bothers you...

At least one friend of mine in high school received calls and letters about playing for Jenks and union even though he lived and went to school in Bartlesville. His dad happened to work in Tulsa, so they attempted to convince him to move so his son would play for them. This was in mid 90's. He did show me the letters to prove it.

It happens in all sports, its just more impactful in Basketball the football unless you are talking quarterback.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The coach of one of Oklahoma’s most prominent high school football programs was suspended for the season Friday after an investigation found he helped arrange for a player to live with a booster so he could play for the school.

Jenks High School coach Allan Trimble, along with school district athletic director Tony Dillingham and an assistant coach, were suspended after an internal investigation determined they and others within the football program committed “numerous personal and institutional errors and omissions” in dealing with Jenks players and abiding by statewide recruitment rules.

One thing that seems pretty apparent...there wasn't a lot of uproar about this until kids started moving to the suburbs...PC and Midwest City in basketball used to exchange players on a pretty frequent basis. It happened pretty regularly in the inner city schools too. I can't help but wonder if this issue has become a big deal along a racial divide?

York Benjamin is definitely at Mustang...BIG kid. A kid that was at Mustang two years previously, but moved away early last year is back Binky Colbert...a guard.

How can York enroll? His mom still lives in Tulsa. His grandma lives by Douglas High school. Just saying you are going to live with grandma does not make the kid eligible. His mom is the guardian. This smells even for Mustang. I guess Mustang takes transfers unlike the 6A schools in the east that don't take transfers. You have to live in the school's district to play athletics. The kid kept saying all summer that he wasn't going to Mustang when the kids on Athletes First would ask him. Edison is protesting and has called the OSSAA but nothing ever happens to certain schools that break the rules.

Sounds like another great recruiting year for Long and Mustang. The first year Long was at Mustang the AD told him about recruiting rules and he said he had heard of some those rules at Douglas but he didn't followed them at Douglas. He also told Tulsa Washington when he interviewed for the head basketball job he could bring six players with him to BTW. His chief recruiter is his assistant coach that doesn't teach but is in charge of the parking lot.

You guys are way too worried about HS basketball. Especially as adults.

It wouldn't matter if Mustang took transfers...if he just transfers, he's ineligible to play varsity sports. He has to move to the district to be eligible.

That's an OSSAA rule that Mustang has no control over.

You don't think Jenks or Union recruit for football?
