Baylor- Texas

I wish we had that many WNBA players but I don't see it.

Well the players with the best chances are pg's and posts because there are more players that can fit into those other positions. I would give Gabbi and Vivi the best odds. Guess I am hoping KayKay and Gioya develop. Campbell i could see coming off the bench. I just think she would need some coaching. She would be a project but if she were committed, I truly believe she could do it. If she made a team and then in the offseason, did nothing but work on her game.......maybe. Or if she did not get drafted and then spent the next nine months doing nothing but work on her game. Tulsa has not had a decent three in two or three years. I don't know, I may be being overly optimistic about Campbell. Gioya would really have to develop her game because there are too mahy players who can play like she does.

Anyway, you may be correct. I just think all of those players have a better chance than Aaryn ever did. She was a streaky shooter and that was basically all. You have to have a more all around game. And, I really wanted Aaryn to be able to make it.

Syrabrite. I absolutely agree with everything you say. If Manning stays healthy and gets stronger she is going pro- there is no stopping that.

Gioya will be there as well.

Sharane is a tweener cause she really doesn't have a position. Can she guard 2's and 3's at that level? Can she handle the ball at that level? Not sure.

KK is actually very skilled and has decent size for a 4, so I won't rule her out. But she needs to improve.

Gabbi might not be quick enough or tall enough--Remember Moody just scored 30 on her - if she becomes such a good shooter that you can ignore that then I'll buy in.

But after that I don't see anyone else for now- Could change very quickly though.

If Texas had the athletes some of you think they had, they wouldn't be 4-7. They lost the only legitimate WNBA prospect that they had that is firmly established as anything other than potential---Enempkali. Player-for-player, I think OU has better tools at every position. Right now, this is a two-team conference.

Texas had several injuries which affected their team. Ariel Atkins...yes, I see WNBA. LANG...yes. Mcgee-Stafford ...yes. Oh and Nneke without question. I do not think she will be taken this year with her acl tear. The only player I have known to be taken who was injured and would not play the first season but was drafted anyway was Tamika Catchings. If Nneke recovers from her injury and comes back the same player, she should be drafted in 2016.

Maddie, I forgot about. I think time will tell with Maddie. I am not ready to say. I hope so. I really like her.

I could see Gioya get a shot if she becomes consistent. When she is on, she can score from outside and she can drive. She is also a good defender and passer.

I just don't see any of our posts with the skills to get there. It was hard for Courtney to make a roster and she was waaaay better than anyone we have.

Gabbi could get some interest if she keeps improving but that's certainly not a given.

I don't think anyone else is close to that caliber.

You don't see Vivi? She is a freshman coming off an acl injury who hasn't played basketball as long as most D-1 athletes. If she forgoes a career-ending injury, she would be my first bet. As for Gabbi, have you looked at the pg's in the wnba. Many are not know for their defense. They are known for directing traffic, ball-handling, making others better and some scoring. Gabbi is showing pretty good three point shooting for a freshman, pretty good defense, and a decent floor general.......as a freshman. The thing is she wants to play. I think she is looking to play in the W. She is better than D-Rob was at this point and D-Rob had a more experienced team to play with.

Maddie is regularly compared to a women drafted #3 overall. Im just saying tho norm.

It is interesting that Texas injuries are problems while nobody accepts our injuries, like losing our two best players for three years in Hand and Manning.

If Manning develops, she is exactly what the pros want--by far the best prospect in the Big Twelve.

Enempkali--great prospect. You love rebounders.

Gates-Stafford, Lang, Kay Kay--too soft. You have to be tough to get boards in the WNBA. They tip toe. They have nice attributes, but they won't be able to stick because they can't compete physically. Vivi might---you never know at this point. I see more possibilities for Lewis than for Gates-Stafford or Lang.

Adkins---not yet. I don't see the potential as being WNBA quality yet. I don't think that there is a scoring guard in the Big Twelve that is a really good prospect right now. Gioya can be if she develops. She has the quickness and the touch. I think Holmes and Battle are at their pinnacle.

Point guards--Gabbi? She is a bit short, and size does matter. She may have the ability to overcome it. She needs to develop with time, but she has the right stuff. It is her mental game that they will love.

Nina Davis is the other Big Twelve player that I really like right now. I don't know that she will be a starter in the WNBA with her size, but you always want tough players who are good on the boards.

Maddie cannot even start on this team so I doubt any WNBA GMs are holding their breath. I'm pretty sure Sherri would be playing her 35+ minutes if she were a WNBA quality talent.

no, i don't see it yet. She does not have much skills developed- she could be a player that really grows some off season but, right now. No.

Gabby is not nearly as athletic Danielle Robinson. Gabbi is a very developed player at her age, she'll get better- but it won't be astronomical. She'll never develop Danielle first step. You can't teach that.

Maddie, is again, our top pro prospect. There is very few in nation that have her tools.

Im pretty sure your the guy that asked if pro players intentionally elevate there arms higher on jump shots, so, I'm not holding my breath on your player analysis lol

Sherri found a rotation that she likes, she brings Maddie in when Gioya leaves the game so we don't slow down. Goiya, is a more aggressive scorer, an area that Maddie has yet to find comfort in yet. But she is, a freshman. And there is very few players that have her tools- Offense and Defense. She is yet to put it all together, but it is TOOLS norm. Tools.

If only Maddie played for a 4-7 team.

You know. I disagree with Lang, she actually plays with a chip. I saw it against us and against Baylor. And I personally think Gates-Stafford will for sure be a pro, she's very talented for her size. Nina Davis, honestly, who knows. She struggled against Texas today who are Big like the Pros. She is a VERY tough player tho.

I read who all you think will play in the WNBA which speaks volumes. :)

Lang played Davis to a standstill today. Both with 20 points on good shooting from the field and line. Lang with eleven boards. Davis with seven. On the season, I'll take Davis. Lang has the potential, similar to the others mentioned. But, she is typically soft from what I have seen in probably eight to ten games.

Adkins was 2 of 14 from the field. Enough said.

Stafford had what: 4 points 4 rebounds?

And, Texas should be #1 even though Enempkali is injured after all of that sensational recruiting over the past several years.

Stafford was in foul trouble. I didn't even realize Davis had 20 pts.... she had 5 half.

Davis will for sure get a look, I just can't decisively say she'll be good in the league. Who knows if her lack of size will eventually catch up to her or not- She'll play D in the league tho. She's scrappy.

These arguments over who is/isn't WNBA worthy – I just don't get it. I couldn't care less about who will play in the WNBA and who won't. I'm more interested in who can play in the Big XII. So far, our no-talent Sooners are doing a pretty good job.

And, yes, I'm confident we can beat Baylor at Waco. But we'll have to play well to do it. If we lose, it won't be because we don't have enough talent to compete with BU.

Its fun to talk about. I agree, we got the talent- that I do know.

Davis gets a lot of points that you don't notice. They are simple putbacks. Nothing flashy. She just gets position and puts back shots from the weakside. I love players like that. I see Peyton as one of those, the garbage collectors. At the end of the game, they seem to have scored most of the points instead of the flashy shooters.
