Baylor vs KSU

The Big 12 is so bad this year that I think OU could beat either of these 2 teams in Norman. The conference may really send 4 or 5 teams this year. Neither one of these teams is doing that much tonight.

Big 12 isn't "bad" per say this year...I think it's just extremely top heavy. Kind of like how the Big Twelvish will be in football this fall.

I think the Big 12 in football had about 5 top 15 type teams. There's 2 in the Big 12. Maybe 3 with A&M

Lace Dunn should have went pro last year. His stock is dropping like typically happens with seniors. People always question these guys leaving school early but it always seems the seniors get bypassed for younger guys with "potential".

the best example of this is john henson .. he was a top 5 pick after his frosh year now he is mid to late first at best

Agreed. The conference is currently ranked 2nd in the RPI behind the Big East, so I don't see how it can be considered "bad". It isn't at all.

? John Henson from UNC? He's only a sophomore dude, last year was his freshman year. There were no NBA draft boards on earth that showed him top 5, he wasn't even ranked higher than Ed Davis on his own team who went 7 or 8th. If anything he's been playing well lately and is starting to make a real impact for that team. No one would have picked him top 5 last year considering he was a poor man's Brendan Wright whose name I haven't heard in about a year.

If you're going to include Nebraska, Missouri, and A&M as Top 15-caliber football teams, then its only fair if you include Missouri and A&M as Top 15-caliber basketball teams at this point.

Besides, Missouri and A&M are currently ranked in the Top 15 in basketball, unlike what Mizzou, Nebraska, and A&M finished in football (just outside the Top 15).

Yeah... not sure how you can credit Mizzou with a top 15 football program (not sure I'd even say that, although I would comfortably argue top 20; we're right on the edge IMO), but not even consider MU as a top 15 basketball team.

Kind of struggling to see where that's coming from. Is that based on rankings in the polls this year, or a subjective "who's a better program overall" type thing?

Lace didn't hurt his stock. He was being told he was going to be a late 2nd rounder by scouts. If he was being told he was a 1st rounder, he would have come out. Guards coming out early is always a risky strategy unless they feel confident that they can get guaranteed money. Lace will make money playing pro somewhere. Glad you are concerned. Very compassionate of you.

I kind of compare Dunn to JamesOn Curry. Both really, really good outside shooters, but not overly athletic when compared to NBA 2-guards and not the best at creating their shot. Both needed to learn how to play point guard to have a shot in the NBA, Curry couldn't do it.
