Looks like a real possibility. About 2/3s of the time I ran the generator it came up that way.

It would suck to get the red-hot Pukes on Thursday, but would be so sweet to take them out.

Anyone remember the fight in the stands when they prevailed in OT on us at Kemper in 1999? I remember riding an elevator with Joe C and he had blood on his shirt from trying to break it up.

I think this is probably a typical response, BUT:

They don't offer any major matchup problems for us.
They go five deep.
They will have played a game the day before with no depth.
We have beat them twice.
They play Sager, Cox, and Hammonds off the bench.
They are 2-6 away from Stillwater in Big 12 play.

I remember angrily watching that from my apartment in Norman. I also remember watching the next game from The Commons and the game after that from South Padre. Then I came home and watched the Eduardo/Cleaves collision game from campus. Crazy postseason in '99.

OSU is definitely playing better, but I would be OK with bedlam again. No matter who we play this year, it will be a tough game. The Big 12 is stout from top to pretty much the bottom.

Barring a total collapse from Baylor (they are up 9 late), it looks like we will be drawing the pokes on Thursday evening. There are still a couple of scenarios that could play out Saturday, but I anticipate Baylor, OSU, and WV finishing tied at 8-10. That would mean:
6) Baylor
7) OSU
8) WV

Bring'em on!

Just back off Smart and let him shoot them into oblivion.

OSU doesn't scare me for all the reasons pnkranger listed above. We have the better team and should win.

Exactly the way I feel about this possibility. They lost 7 in a row for a reason and those reasons will come up again!

If we do end up playing OSU and win then we will likely play Texas in the next round. Obviously, a lot can happen until then. But being 6-0 vs OSU and Texas in one season would be an amazing feeling.

I like the way you think.

That would be a satisfying accomplishment. Right now, I'm assuming we win out and get the #2 seed. However, I have no idea who is going to be the 3 seed. I'm not sure Texas wins at Tech on Saturday....to me, that game is 50/50. If Texas were to lose that game....along with ISU and KSU winning on Saturday, then that would create a 3-way tie for 3rd. Those teams all split this year, but KSU and UT beat KU, so ISU would be relegated to the 5th seed in this scenario. Then KSU would get the nod at the 3 because they beat us....thus:
3.) KSU
4.) UT
5.) ISU

That would be an ideal scenario for us to get to the finals...IMO.

Would be great! 5 deep we ave 9- they would be very tired from playing day before nd we are rested. And a Coaching mismatch lol

The OU fan involved in the fight is a friend of mine.

In the 2nd game OU won in overtime during the Smart suspension. OSU has been playing lights out since his return and he is shooting less...Also I'm having flashbacks to OKC with James Anderson and Blake Griffin...having the OU and OSU fans all mixed together was a blast.

I'll give you that it was a very tight game, but I sure don't remember it going to overtime. Perhaps you're thinking of last year's Bedlam in Stillwater?

He's probably confusing it with the game against Baylor in Waco that was right after Bedlam.

Those were the two really close games we played without Smart. The OU game didn't go to OT (OU won 77-74 in regulation), but the Baylor game did. (They won 70-64 in OT).

Edited, my point remains. The 2nd Bedlam game was very close and OSU was without a difference maker.

OSU is about to do an impression of 2011 UCONN
