Best programs to never win a title?

Most NCAA tourney wins without a national title (if wikipedia is to be believed and I added this year's tourney results so far)

OU-41
Illinois- 40
Notre Dame- 36
Texas- 35
Purdue-34

Here is hoping that OU comes off that list before it has the dubious distinction of having the most tourney wins without a title.

Wasn't Kruger the first Illini coach to snag Mr Basketball in Illinois 3 consecutive years? He left Self with a lot of talent.

Now, I can see Illini fans not liking Kruger for possibly not playing the game with the dirty Chicago coaches.

That's probably one of the reasons he left Illinois when it appeared he had the program going in the right direction. Of course the NBA called and that's big money but I was surprised when he went to the NBA because he strikes me as a guy who loves coaching the college game.
