This is a huge game for OSU and TCU... TCU has a chance to start 3-0 with an easy early schedule, and OSU is trying to avoid 0-3.

Yep. They’re up 13 at the half on Kansas, in Lawrence. Baylor’s defense is not bad either. KU with only 24 points in the first half.

Feeling pretty nice about the 80-1 Baylor to win the championship future I'm sitting on right now. Gotta give the shoutout to Bigabd on that one. I hit Nova at 35-1 and UVA at 14-1 the past two years. I'll probably hedge Baylor during the tournament, but they have the best guards which is the only thing that matters in the NCAA tournament. Feeling less good about my Pokes 200-1 ticket lol.

You can never feel too confident with the one and done nature of the NCAA tournament, but if you bet on the teams with the best guards you're going to do well for yourself. It's the thing that matters. Which, not coincidentally, is why its frustrating that Lon loads his roster up with project big men instead of recruiting high school guards.

Winning close games usually somewhat evens itself out over the course of the season. But occasionally, you'll see a team with an "8-1 record in games decided by 4 points or less". What that tells me is that team needed some breaks and their record is likely inflated. Kenpom is very good at catching these nuances for teams and not having them ranked as high as you would think.....based on their record.

TCU has a 16 point lead over OSU in one of the most aesthetically unpleasing games you will ever see. This lead is like having a 40 point lead over a normal team. It makes our game against UCF look like the 1987 OU vs. UNLV game.

I agree... TCU is definitely on "fools gold" or "paper tiger" watch. Now, I made a post about them earlier in the year, and they actually have a good amount of talent. Several 4 star players, a really nice center, a couple of solid grad transfers, etc. But, their games indicate they are skimming by.

I thought the OSU/TCU game was bad but this UVA/Syracuse game is worse. Tied at 35 with 6:30 to play. Unbelievably horrid offenses.
