wow...

BU goes down
TT goes down (not a real biggie)
WV goes down (got a taste of their own medicine, points off of TO's)

UT in a struggle...

KU won convincingly
ISU won
OU won, but tight until 4 min left

Only TT wasn't an upset.

The taste WVU got was simply a game officiated correctly. Fraudulent team.

I was talking more about the points on TO's...at one point it was 28 to 4 I believe. Not sure, does that count an off foul then the other team scores?

That white dude for SF Austin was good...

horns go down on desperation 3...

so Big 12 is 3/4 on opening day...

Greatness!

I can't think of 4 programs I'd rather see lose more.

fair to say neither the Pac-12, Big Ten, or Big 12 has had a good couple of days, but that's march madness

These games are all about match ups. Honesty couldn't care less how the conference looks or doesn't look. I only care about OU winning, and advancing.

We seem to hear about how the Big XII is the best conference every year now, and then March is an absolute bloodbath for the conference.

This is spot on. It's all about match ups. SFA was a tough, tough matchup for WVU. Texas is just Texas, Baylor is Baylor and TT is young. Who cares what perception is out there? We control OUr own destiny. Boomer!

Conference perception matters for future seeding and bubble teams. If Big XII isn't perceived as the best conference, a team like Tech this year or OSU last year doesn't get in.

As is, the committee needs to be taking a hard look at why they keep giving Big XII teams high seeds only to see them bow out in the weekend of the tourney.

The Big 12 didn't lose in the 1st round b/c of bad matchups. And that includes WVU.

And Michigan State didn't lose because the other team made everything. They were flat out outplayed. Just like WVU yesterday.

It certainly doesn't help to have these upsets happen again. I don't know how much it will affect the conference perception for next season, though. The big 12 built their brand up the past two seasons during the non conference schedule. As long as the big 12 is the best conference during the non conference schedule then we will continue to get decent seeding.

Did you even watch the games? You are entitled to your opinion, but that isn't what I saw at all. MSU played with effort. They got good results on the offensive end of the court. And their defense wasn't "bad". Sometimes teams makes shots they shouldn't make. That's what happened to MSU. That is not what happened to WVU. The Big 12 has been overrated all season long. Round 1 proved that.

Don't forget purdude, Arizona, cal, et al.

I did. I wonder if you watched the game. MTSU shredded their defense.
