Big 12 in The Dance...

PAC - 12 is 2 - 6, with only Oregon left?

I do think Oregon is legit, but outside of Utah, I was very skeptical of the rest of the conference. Cal has NBA talent, but rarely played up to it. Arizona has talent as well, but wasn't particularly well coached this year. Utah was hot at the end of the season until Oregon took them to the woodshed. And Utah is/was a good team, but they were a team that needed to play well together to have success (sum of the parts) and didn't have a lot of margin for error against quality teams. The rest of their "tournament teams" this year were about like Tech or K-State.....meh.

I know. Because 8-11 seeds were so weak this year and they had 3 good wins. In a typical year Tech is at best a bubble team.

They had a lot more than 3 good wins.

Hawaii, Little Rock, SD St, Texas, ISU, Baylor, OU

Only three of those were RPI top 25 wins when the brackets were selected. Tech deserved to be selected this year, but it helped the bubble was so weak which allows them to be an 8 seed.

No. WVU is modestly talented. They win with thug ball/ref foul-fatigue. Not skill.

Even teetering the comparison to 80s OU vs their opposition is ridiculous.

Bingo. That comparison is ridiculous. Bad matchup equals cut from the same cloth (Huggs is SFA coach's mentor), true senior leadership and consecutive / proven tourney experience. Bad matchup doesn't always have to do with just "styles". This was my upset lock of the dance this year because SFA has been in the dance 3 straight years plus beat VCU a couple of years ago in tourney.

Sure WVU made a run last year and had most folks back this year, but their play wears down most teams...not an experienced senior laden team who know's what it takes to win in March.

Funny comment considering they just beat OU.

And lol at it being your "upset lock" considering you didn't even pick them to beat WVU in the OUHoops Tournament Challenge. Matter of fact, you had WVU in the FF, it appears.

Unless of course that is a different SoonerMcGavin?

Lol. First off, them beating us has no relevance to what we're talking about. And we were .1 second away from beating a top 10 team 3x.

And yes, sorry I didn't pick SFA in my OU hoops bracket. I don't put effort into any bracket pool that doesn't have a payout. 4 of my 5 total brackets have SFA winning games. Check out my real bracket. http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-challenge-bracket/2016/en/entry?entryID=4720975

I'm in the 99th percentile dude. Including a perfect East Region bracket so far. And don't forget I won the OU Hoops bracket challenge in 2012. I still have the soonersports.com purchases to show for it when there was actually something at stake. Where's your title?

And by the way, the media isn't jumping on your Big 12 conference is "overrated" bandwagon regardless so keep beating your chest and gasping for air with your (lack of) argument.

Lmao!:ez-roll:

Helps to read my post before you laugh. Forgot that the OU Hoops bracket without anything on the line was the end all be all for picking prowess?

Where's your 99th percentile bracket and where's your OU Hoops bracket challenge crown? :ez-roll:

My Final Four was OU, Kansas, WVU and MSU. It was the first time I had two FF teams out in Round 1. OU badly needed this win for some conference credibility.
