Missouri is as good as the officials will let them be. If the officials will let them mug people past half court then they can beat anyone. That being said they probably will not have much trouble with us in Columbia.

This characterization simply doesn't fit Mizzou basketball.

Except it does. Take your homer shades off and realize that if the officials "let 'em play" then Anderson's system works much better.

That part I would agree with. Officials not calling certain fouls is better for Mizzou. It's the mugging part I disagree with.

MU can be called for a few more fouls than a typical team because they go for so many steals. If an official is willing to swallow the whistle on a couple reaches or slaps on the arm, that's good for Mizzou. But our style isn't really any more physical than most. If anything our players shy away from contact too much.

In general I think the reputation we have with a lot of people as a team that's constantly fouling is a bit unfair (and rarely is it expressed by people who have actually watched more than a couple Mizzou games).

That is true. But if you've only seen a team play a few times you also aren't going to have a completely educated opinion on them.
