Tang has KSU really playing well. This is basically an entirely new team, with a new coach. And yet so many OU fans (basketball and football) seem to think it’s unfair to expect coaches to have much success in year one. I’ll say it again, in the portal era, when you are at a big time school with P5 resources, it shouldn’t take long to have success.

They haven’t played a great schedule, but KSU is much better than the past couple seasons. Shows again that very quick turnarounds are very possible with a new staff thanks to the portal.
Kstate hasn’t shown a thing yet but go ahead and crown them. I’m confident we finish ahead of them in the standings.
They’ve beaten multiple P5 schools and won a tournament. That’s a heck of a lot more than OU could say this time last year. And I’d sure hope we finish ahead of them since we have lots of returning players and don’t have a new coach.

Just TRY to get this smile off my face…..
Not to make this about teams outside our conference (yet I will), but I have been watching alot of the Holiday tournaments this week. And from an athletic or playmaking standpoint, this OU team has a sizable ways to go when compared to what I've seen in the last several days. From an "eye test" point of view, it's going to be tough this year. That's not to say that this team can't develop some great chemistry at some point, but in the short term, this program needs a significant infusion of talent/athleticism to get beyond the level of a "bubble-ish" type of team.
Not B12 but I thought I’d put it here since we’re playing them later in the year, Bama knocks off #1 UNC in 4OT’s, 103-101.
