ISU beats a ranked TCU in Ft. Worth and texas tops oswho in Stillwater by 10.
Subject to change....but out of the gate, the best four teams in conference are KU, KSU, ISU, and Texas. ISU is elite defensively, but they are the most limited offensively. Of those four teams, I still think Texas has the most room to get better. KU is the favorite of course.
After those four, lord knows who would be next. Baylor, Tech and WV are all 0-3, but they could beat anyone on any given night. Baylor, while still very good, is down a little bit this year. Tech, like us, already has two home losses along with Baylor. This league is a bloodbath.
Damn. We should’ve hired Tang. Another miss.

Maybe he isn't squeaky clean enough for Joe C., but the dude is going to win games.
If he's not squeaky clean enough for Joe C., he's not squeaky clean enough for me.
Cool. Thanks for the input.
Sure thing. I appreciate you letting us know you're ok with sketchy coaches at OU.
I’m curious. What would you call sketchy? Guys that run afoul of the ncaa, like kelvin Sampson, bill self, john Calipari?
Or just guys that try to kill their girlfriends, like that beard guy?
The former. Give me squeaky clean, ala Coach Kruger and Bob Stoops. I've had my fill of probation and accusations. I defended Sampson to the last, but when he capped off putting us on probation by cutting and running, that did it for me. He got us into the mess; an honorable man would have stuck around to get us out of it, no matter how good the offer was.
So, you don’t care about winning at all. Every successful coach in college basketball has done shady things, mostly in recruiting. Roy Williams, Larry brown, yes Coach K, dean smith, etc. All of them are shady.

with NIL there is no more "shady"
The rules have certainly changed, but there are still rules. Tampering with players before they've entered the portal, for one, which some coaches are certainly doing and others are not.
And some coaches are using NIL in a better way than others. BV is tying it to community work and he's backed off some players when they clearly cared more about the money than anything else. Jimbo Fisher, to name just one example, is going about it in a very different way. OU and BV's approach to NIL is night and day different from his.
And I'm not the one who introduced the notion of "sketchy" coaches. I just responded to the person who did. But if it really is going to remain the Wild West, with no rules or restrictions, my interest in collegiate athletics will wane. I have long preferred college sports to professional sports, but the lines are blurring. If that continues unabated, they will no longer feel like collegiate sports to me and my interest will lessen.
I do care about winning. I also care about doing it the right way. Lon Kruger didn't cheat and he made it to Final Fours. Bob Stoops didn't cheat and he made it to national title games, one of which he won and two of which we could easily have won with a play or two going differently. And the team that routed us in the fourth title game? They cheated and had to vacate that win.
