We will avoid osu, isu, and KU until the finals.

The thing with the Big 12 is that no matter what you are playing teams that can beat you every round. Sure we avoid tough teams, but we also will have to play a desperate WV, maybe a Baylor team that has figured things out, a UT teams that will be hard to be a third time, etc.. The conference is too tough to avoid good teams.

Yep, Baylor will have to basically blow us out, because a close game if it's Drew vs Kruger will go our way. But honestly they could have a game like that. Texas is also a tough match up with us. Nothing comes easy in a conference tournament. Unless TCU beats Baylor.

Agreed. Baylor is talented enough to win the conference tournament. Beating either they or Texas a third time will be challenging, plus we haven't done jack in this thing since winning three in a row more than a decade ago.

WVU winning it would be scary for Baylor or OSU...I don't think we'll get 8 teams in. In 1993, OU was pretty much in the Dance unless Colorado or Missouri won the conference tournament. Missouri won it (and they weren't going to take 7 of the 8 teams), so it knocked us out. If I'm a Baylor or OSU fan, I'm rooting against WVU just to be on the safe side.

Heck winning 2 games(and beating Texas and us a 2nd time) would probably put WVU in and maybe take out OSU or Baylor.

I don't know if both are locks. Maybe one of them is a lock. If WVU loses in the first game in the Big 12 tourney I agree.

Looking how weak the bubble is, both are getting in based on their OOC wins and the overall strength of the Big 12.

You may be right, but if WVU somehow wins the Big XII tournament (don't laugh; it could happen), that would give our conference eight teams in the Big Dance. I'll believe that when I see it.

I said on another thread earlier today that WVU could make it interesting if they win the conference tournament.

But assuming that doesn't happen and only 7 teams get a birth to the NCAA tourney. How would you like to be the unlucky coaches who will have to go up against the #8 and #9 teams in the NIT?

The Big 12 has been unbelievably tough this season!
