Other College BBall Thread 2024-5

Jerome Tang is now 12-3 at home against Top 25 teams. KSU was 1-6 in the league three weeks ago and right now, I would guess they have a better chance of making the tournament than we do.
 
Aggies just won at Mizzou. Watching other games, it is just remarkable how often other coaches and teams manage to execute and get quality shots in late game situations.
 
I watch teams like Kentucky and Tennessee play and I think: “They’re beatable.” But I don’t think I realize how insanely athletic they are until they play OU’s mid major athletes.

Michigan, Arizona and Louisville are all at or near the top of the other three P4 conferences. We would be, too. The luck of the timing of the conference move just continues the misery for us.

lol poor little OU, always the victim. We may be able to finish top three or four in the ACC. Big 10 and Big 12? No way. We were a better team last season and finished near the bottom of the league.

What’s funny is thinking about all of you last year who predicted we would do so much better in the SEC because Moser had won some games against them in noncon the last three years. Now you’re suggesting that because we beat Arizona in Nov when they were a mess means we would be near the top of the Big 12? Geez.

It’s pretty ridiculous. We are right back to 2022-2023 where OU was the least athletic team in the conference. And you can’t just blame conference difficulty for that.
 
Bizarre ending at Indiana. UCLA made a free throw to go up 4 with 4 seconds left. Cronin did NOT fanatically try to send a sub to the table and get called for a T. He had made the ridiculous decision to call a timeout before the FT to calmly discuss strategy with his team. Dude has so much to learn from the CW.

You think Moser would play to his strengths. He’s clearly a good coach out of conference. He should have stacked the nonconference schedule where he has the team playing its best ball. Then he has enough wiggle room in conference to scrape together 7 wins and get in. Help yourself out alittle there.
 
Meanwhile stupid Texas is keeping their tournament hopes alive
