Yep. Curry is easily on track to become the most prolific 3 point shooter in NBA history. Easily.

And is a liability on the defensive end. But he is one hell of a shooter, but he can create his own shot and has great handles. I thought he would be good in the NBA but he has ended up being a lot better than I thought he would be.

If that is what you want to use they westbrook would be drafted before BG hands down.

If you want to use the future, then it is probably griffin. But the debate wasn't about westbrook vs griffin

Because we are trying to value guys as things sit RIGHT NOW. It's not fair to discount a Tony Parker or Tim Duncan b/c of their age, when we're trying to value guys today. Or, in terms of my "redraft" talk, if teams are drafting for the future, they may not take the best player today, but a younger guy with potential. That isn't what we are trying to evaluate, right? We're not really trying to take age, salary, or potential into account. I want to know right now, how many players are better than Westbrook. That is why I'm looking at it how I am.

And I'm not sure why Westbrook would definitely go before Blake. I can't draft another Blake. I can find a solid pg later on. Especially if I want one to distribute the ball.

IMHO it's personal preference after the top 3. Those top 3 are really the only elite, all-time type talents in the league right now. I love Blake but I can't overlook the liability he is defensively right now.

Notice I didn't even mention Derrick Rose, Lillard, Conley, Bledsoe or Dragic. Damn there are some good PGs in the NBA. There are 10-12 you wouldn't miss a beat with.

To get the thread on point, I'm not sure how any Sooner fan could want OKC's best player to be a longhorn, and the coach to be an aggie/jayhawk. That does not make sense to me as a Sooner fan.

Every GM in the league would be happy to have either. However I'm sure more than a few would take Curry first due to his incredibly quick silky stroke. Westbrook is a better defender but that's it.

The jury is still out whether Westbrook is better than John Wall & Kyrie Irving. When healthy many would take Rondo over him. Virtually everybody would take Chris Paul & Tony Parker over him. Deron Williams has slipped for some reason but the top of his game is every bit as high. Teague for Atlanta is starting to ball. Kyle Lowry can do work.

It's the NBA. Freak studs abound.

Westbrook is not a top 7 player in the NBA. Suggesting that is simply being a homer. Nobody independent of the Thunder would rank him that high.

He doesn't fit with Durant. KD would be better with a "different" roster construction around him. And some help. Can't put him on the court with Westbrook, Thabo, Perkins, and Serge, and wonder why all the shots he takes are tough. I wonder why?

Westbrook joined LeBron James and Dwyane Wade last season as the only players in the last decade to average at least 23 points, seven assists and five rebounds per game in a season.

Easily the stuff of top 10 players in the league, and many NBA guys have him in the top 5. Almost all NBA guys would put him in the top 10.

As another poster said, the PG talent in the league has never been better. But none of them physically dominate games like Westbrook does. The only one I would consider taking over him is Paul, and I would have to think long and hard about that. Paul gets abused by opposing PG's. It would depend on the team around them.

Westbrook is not a top 7 player in the NBA. Suggesting that is simply being a homer. Nobody independent of the Thunder would rank him that high.

LOL. I love how you say something wrong with such conviction. Nobody has to have him in their top 7, it's such a difficult thing to discern and often comes down to personal preference. But to say only homers would put him there and nobody independent of the Thunder would rank him that high is wrong. I can promise that Gregg Popovich would put him there and dearly hopes Memphis can take him out.

I wonder if a year where RW only played 30 mpg is the best one to compare with other PG's. Or are they extrapolating the #s out? RW was 6th on that list last year at 35 mpg. He's also battled rust in and out of the lineup.

You have more confidence in Rose recovering fully than most Bulls fans.

As for Curry, I doubt anyone would have a beef with you liking him over RW. Those are my two favorite players in the league to watch right now. Can't go wrong.
