Blake Griffin is close to breaking out

During the start of the 4th quarter Blake was fouled and fell to the floor while holding the ball with legs spread. Then one of the Houston players stepped in between Blake's legs as he walked past him catching him off guard, which he then promptly gave the player one of those "wtf" looks. I thought it was a petty decision by the Rockets' player.

I didn't notice that one but Jason Terry got kicked out of the game for the cheap shot he took on Blake later in the 4th quarter. It's obvious that Houston is keying on Blake defensively.

If the playoffs ended today, Blake is your MVP.

Epic choke job. If they can recover from this debacle it would be impressive.

Yup...they became the Clippers of old in the last 15 or so minutes of the game. Blake had an awful 4th quarter as well, which means he likely didn't get enough rest. If the Clippers don't win the series, it will be because their bench didn't produce. Their typical best bench player is Jamal Crawford and he was a -27 in the +- category. Yikes.

Dam...feel awful for Blake. But there's no one to blame but themselves. 19 point lead and they choke on a fatty.

I feel bad for Blake too.......but he played better this year. The Clips can't win when Reddick and Barnes both stink in up in the same game. And they need better players off the bench.

Next year.

So much for that Spurs Clippers should have been the conference finals nonsense. lol What did in the Clippers was the same as usual Blake and Paul are not elite enough to protect the ball. Crawford, Redick and Barnes are not in the same league as champions Terry and Ariza.

At the end of the day both conferences had the 1-2 seeds advance. The conferences are equal at the top 4-5 teams with Golden State now holding an edge over the Cavs due to Loves injury.

JJ Reddick and Matt Barnes are reserves on a good team and would be good ones. Doc better go get a 3 and a shooting guard that can defend and has a little handle. JJ had 6 turnovers yesterday and Barnes didn't score??

doc could have had jared Dudley and paul pierce instead he traded Dudley for nothing and signed spencer hawes ..

I think Doc tried to get Pierce but he chose the Wizards. Not sure. But yeah Hawes was a big whiff. And Dudley has proven to not have what it takes.

No argument from me, but most of their problems have been on defense. Deandre Jordon is their only above-average defender. They need to get some help in that regard as the Rockets were scoring way too easily.

I'm a huge Blake Griffin fan, and I'm glad to see that he took that next step in elevating his game this year, especially on offense. However, his career average for steals and blocked shots haven't changed since he was a rookie. Obviously, he'll never be Dennis Rodman on that side of the ball, but he needs to work on becoming more of an asset on defense.

I disagree about Redick and Barnes. I think the Clippers have the 2nd best starting lineup in the playoffs, behind the Warriors.

You have three elite players in Paul, Griffin, and Jordan. Redick is a lights out shooter who plays adequate defense. Barnes is a glue guy who can make some shots.

The problem is Doc assembled the most embarrassing bench imaginable. It makes the Thunder bench post-Harden look good in comparison.
