So does that eliminate them? Maybe giving OU a push?

Hope so! Although when I saw the subject I thought it was Bolden that committed to KU. Phew!

It helps. But Kentucky is pulling the trump card.

Isn't there another 5 star center that Calipari can get instead?

Pretty sure uk has a 5-star big committed too.

You gotta believe the #1 ranking plus these types of commitments are helping our chances.

"So you're telling me there's a chance?" -Lloyd Christmas.

Title scared me too! This guy would be a great get. Hard to find them with his size and skill-set.

We do not have the sleazy money that KU and UK has.

we have more than enough money, except Lon K. does things the right way.

That's why we need to support him by filling up the noble every night.

Theres really no 'instead' when it comes to Kentucky. Some how Calipari sells to big men the idea of playing 20 minutes or less. Lee and Johnson averaged 16mins and 10mins a game last year and they were both top 25 recruits.

Kentucky already has 3 top 30 post players committed with the possibility of Labissiere, Lee, Willis and Humphries returning. You would think it would be a no brainer that he wouldn't choose Kentucky or even KU with all of their post players and yet UK is the front runner for the kid. I just don't get it.

I do bet that KU stops recruiting him now b/c they already have 6 post players on the roster for next year now. So KU has eliminated themselves.

Do you guys really believe that KU and UK are paying players to come and play basketball?
Kids are going there because those teams put guys in the NBA, and they get to play in front of 10k+ every home game.

Of course they find ways to funnel money to the player and/or the people that influence the player...parents, AAU coach, etc. Now your point on them getting guys to the NBA and a rabid fan base matters also.

Shaq came out and he said he was paid. Booster give money to kids all the time. Cam Newton was bought for 250k.

Heck even OU boosters and coach gave players money... It happens.

Bama Oline came out and said he was paid.

I dont think its everyone, but it happens. Jobs are given all the time, even in HS.
