Just thinking about how great of shape our basketball program is in right now:

- Balanced classes with the future in mind
- Improving depth
- High character kids who are achieving in the classroom
- Stable coaching staff

Life is good and I can't wait for the Season!

I'm with you; this is a great time to be a Sooner hoops fan!

Just posted this in another thread...

Newest Rival Rankings...
Jarreau ranked 40th
Gresham ranked 133rd

Jarreau is outranking Payton Pritchard... Think about that, we lost a top PG and may replace one that is more sought after.

Lon Kruger is the man.

FYI
Doolittle #118
McGusty #45
Freeman Unranked but considered top 50-60 if in USA fulltime.

Great post, BT!!! Count me in as one more OU fan who is very happy with the direction of our program in the last couple of years, with Lon Kruger as our coach.

When Lon was first announced, I figured it was good for two main reasons.
1. he would grind OU back to basketball respectability.
2. he would avoid the ncaa nonsense that surrounded the end of both the Sampson and Kelvin eras.

I had no idea that he would recruit HS talent so consistently and at such a high level.
He's found a sweet spot signing and developing kids in that 75 to 150 range.
And as OU has more success on the court, he's incrementally going after higher and higher
rated kids.
Also, he's never without an option when recruiting goes in a different direction. Great read
on who he can really sign and who he should move on from.
