No matter how you slice it, this will go down as a bad loss for OSU. South Carolina was picked to finish 10th in the SEC.
Despite the optimism expressed by Poke fans during their 10-0 start, this team is not nearly as good as last year. The talent level drops off considerably when you get past Hickey, Forte, Nash and Cobbins. When one or more of that foursome is having a bad game, as they were today, the Pokes are in trouble.
Granted, Phil Forte will likely never have another 1 of 14 from the field performance. The problem is, their talent is so limited, their best players have to play well every time out to give them a chance to win games against a decent team, especially on the road.
But, like I said, when one or more of their top four is awful like they were today, the result is a blowout loss to a team they should have beaten easily. OU has a bad loss, too, just nothing like this 26 points stinker.
