Bubble Watch

I always forget that he's there.

I think that sound I just heard was a bubble bursting. I haven't been on the Miami bandwagon like some of our posters, but it seems like most of the talk has had them in since they finished the regular season.
For a guy that loves metrics and clowning our schedule you would think Miami's awful schedule would keep them out.

Anyone care to hear the committee response on Sunday when Miami is playing in the first four?

Miami's schedule is atrocious, but they are probably safely in....although I think they should be in Dayton at best IMO. Their best win is against Akron and their NC SOS is in the 360s. Add to that, they play in the sorry MAC, but you have to give them at least some credit for winning all of their game I guess.

Committee on Sunday: Why is Miami in?

"We have great respect for Umass, in the non conference they beat two power 4 teams in Boston College and Florida State"

Can you read? I have said repeatedly that I don't think they should be in. I have said it for weeks. What I think should happen and what will actually happen are two different things.

IMO it is Miami’s own bubble that burst.

This was Miami's legit first tournament game too. Yeah man. I dunno. Kinda salty on them.

Just like he did with OU last night I bet Lunardi gets some tidbits and moves Miami back tomorrow.

He said our win would not move us at all then 8 hours later we moved up into the first four out.

The conspiracy theorists accuse him of shilling for the SEC since he works for ESPN. We benefit from that. At the end of the day, though, it's just one guy's prediction.

I have checked a lot of sites and they all think they will still make it and most don't think they will have to go to Dayton. I wouldn't put them in but that seems to be the overwhelming consensus. It helps them that so many power conference teams have crapped the bed.

I don’t think Miami will be left out. I think they should be. They’ve been really lucky to get by most of these games, but I think just because of the story they’ll get in.

My theory has been he is “motivated” to make the conference tournament games mean more than they might actually mean. This is to incentivize people watching them more on espn.

True.

Similar to SEC Network announcers calling our games and referring to us as "under consideration" when we were barely .500.
