Hell if the Vanderbilt game lasts one more minute we lose that one too. And they didn’t have Miles.

Man, I’m not saying a different coach wouldn’t have got us in the dance. Obviously it would have.

What I’m saying is we have to fix a lot of other issues besides the coach or we’ll be on the bubble or wearing crimson jerseys every year we make the dance.

I want more than that. I want to be seeded to wear white. I want Sweet 16s and a run every few years.

I’m just saying I’m glad we have an AD that finally recognizes that too and lists all the things he’ll and to do to fix it.

That’s true because Dayton would have taken their place. I assume VCU would be behind us if St. Louis beat them, but they didn’t say that with certainty (they could have been between us and Miami still)

You realize the difference between the bubble and a 7 seed, for example, is probably 2-3 more wins this year. That would have matched Kentucky, pre-SEC tournament.

Better scheduling and a couple more wins. We're not asking for 25 wins. Get me to 20-22 and we're money. We crap away enough games each year to get there. Don't lose to Arizona State. Don't lose to South Carolina. Don't choke away 20 point leads.

Moser could take OU to the Dance next year and his time at OU would still be a failure, and I'd bet what he does going forward after that would be a failure.

This is OU. Even a bad coach is going to fail their way into the Dance once every (checks notes) five years or so.
 
Sooners being out of the tournament is not surprising, blame that on the 9 game losing streak but it is very disappointing that Moser is returning next year, making the tournament once in 5 years is not good enough, I hope Oklahoma will decline the NIT tournament invite, they do not deserve it due to the 9 game losing streak
 
I just don’t think he’s going to have as much talent next year as this year if he gets more NIL. ESPECIALLY if Brown, and Reid leave. He may finally get a good five, but then we lose Pack, Brown and Jones. That’s three good guards that need to be replaced. And probably Atak and Reid. That is so much talent to replace. Even in the portal era. This really was supposed to be “the year.” The only hope is maybe next year’s team gels quicker or just fits better.

And I don’t know where Denny is gonna get the money from. Maybe a few more million, but he mentioned having the community rally around the team and supporting it. That is not happening under Moser. 90% of fans are done with him. How much more can OU’s NIL realistically increase? He’s very clearly not in tune with OU basketball
 
What I didn't like hearing from the committee guy was why they picked SMU. SMU has lost 6 of their last 8 games...BUT, they gave them the nod due to some player coming back from injury. This dude (Edwards) is their 3rd leading scorer...but is a good defensive player (eye roll). So is that the kind of crap criteria they are making decisions on?? Why not factor in our loss at Mizzou, where they pulled two last second shots out of their asses...or even the most recent Arky game for us, where Acuff played out of his mind and hits a couple of ridiculous shots that barely got them the win. I get it, not every team is going to be happy...but why can't they simply ask themselves this....IF OU and SMU played tomorrow, who would be favored, and who would they think would win that??
