So what do you guys think Buddy will do in the NBA. Some options:

A. Short career as a bench player, five years or less
B. 5-8 career mostly as a bench player
c. 5-8 career as a key contributor, either in starting five or in a sixth or seventh man role.
d. 8+ year career
e. Several years as a starter with a long NBA career to end on his terms or due to an injury.

I think e. I think the guy is going to work as hard as it takes and make it happen.

Now all reading this should take it with a grain of salt. I am virtually always wrong about NBA talent. About the only times I have been correct, is I liked Durant better than the center from Ohio State and I like Melo better than the guy from Europe that Detroit took.

What do you guys think.

Bonus question, will Cousins get an NBA opportunity. I think no but I think he will play a high level of professional basketball, make good money and then become a college coach like Crutchfield.

I'll have to go with c. Gotta get those turnovers under control. He seems to turn the ball over at the most critical times of the game. That wont fly in the nba and he'll be riding the pine if he does.

I hope for e. Buddy has the skill.

I could see him having a career similar to JJ Redick.

Don's see Cousins being a coach. I think he could get drafted 2nd round and play D-League.. Or go get paid well in Europe and be a solid player..

Hield I say E.
The guy has a lot going for him and the work ethic. I think and hope he is a second tier type of star in the NBA!!

I'd say d. with him being a reserve early in his career and depending on the talent around him either a starter or key reserve in his prime. Then back to a veteran role player who can stroke. Guys with a work ethic and that aren't problems in the locker room always have a spot late in their careers. Osby is close to getting in the NBA based on that and he doesn't have the talent Buddy has.

I think Cousins will get an invite to the Summer League then have his choice of D-League or overseas. I really hope he gets a shot at the NBA though.

If Buddy Hield is a starter or key reserve, he will play longer than 8 years in the NBA. Eduardo Najera played 11 as a key reserve. The only other OU 2-guard to play in the NBA was Anthony Bowie. He wasn't anywhere near the prospect of Buddy Hield, and even he played 8 years in the NBA. The only OU draft pick that was viewed as a "bust" was Stacey King...and he lasted 8 years as well. I'll go with either D or E for Buddy.

I think he is tight with Crutchfield. I think they grew up in the same neighborhood. That is why I think he will become a coach after he is done playing.

If he can shoot the 3, he'll play forever. If he can't, he'll wash out quickly. It's as simple as that.

and got 3 rings...lol

Supposedly King was super lazy, but most guys in HS that are that much better are...thought I heard Tubbs say he was always on King's butt all the time...about working out.

Man I loved those teams~

Jodie Meeks Career. Could be draymond green if he learns how to dribble

I believe "E" as well... Here's something I was mulling over the other day with a friend: at OU, Buddy is THE Man, but in the NBA he's gonna get a lot more space. I mean imagine him on the court with Durant and Westbrook... He's open all day and as we know, he does not miss when open. I know he's gonna have to get better when putting the ball on the deck, but think about how much better between this year and last. The guy works hard, and will not be outworked.
