@buddyhield: It's always Tough losing, But it was a Great season for Sooner Basketball. Thanks you so much FANS for believing in us #BetterDaysAhead

I hope his #BetterDaysAhead tweet means he'll be around to be part of what lies ahead next year.

Either way, it has been a real pleasure to watch Buddy play and improve his game the last thee season!

...

@OUontheAir: Packing up in Suracuse. Buddy walked around the hotel lobby shaking hands with every OU fan telling them, "we'll get em next year."

He could come back, I think his struggles late in the season means he will. But what else is he going to say, "Good luck next year"?

He could say nothing. But Buddy and his teammates are not cutout that way. They really appreciate the support from OU fans. They are a fine group of young men.

As far as Buddy's intentions for next season, we shall see.

Some of you are silly. We have no idea what better days ahead means and it is silly to speculate. It could be nothing more than a positive attitude about the future.

This already reminds me of Free Dante.

My personal opinion is that those of you that persisted in saying he was "leaving" after this year, were really over-blowing things. It just never made much sense. He was never going to be a guaranteed lottery pick. His family doesn't appear to be hurting for money. Buddy seems to enjoy the college life and is well liked by everybody. I "think" education is important to him.

So with all that said, I expect him back. And we will certainly be stacked at the 1-3 spots if he does come back. Possibly to the point a guy like Walker or Booker would even think about transferring out.

But that would be a good problem to have, I suppose.

I was most certainly in that group thinking he was gone .. but I also was well-aware his family is not hurting for money.

Now I think he is coming back because he hasn't been intimating about leaving, he does appear to really be enjoying college life, and saying we'll get'em next year after a rather disappointing close game. Plus he didn't end on a note of playing his best ball. He was in a downward spiral late in the season and it wasn't from tiring of the game.

I don't think we are stacked at the #1. It doesn't appear to do Cousins or the team much good for him to be the backup. My hope is that Walker decides to embrace that role and dedicate himself to learning the job during the off season.

I don't see a spot for him outside of that. As for Booker, he will have to be a lot better than the freshmen coming in. I think Kruger has shown a history of letting the younger player win ties or near ties for playing time. See DJ Bennett this year.

what is the source of the "well off" business? because of the party they hosted in the bahamas? or is there more that I am not aware of? because I was told by someone at the game last night that his mother works several jobs, and that she isn't exactly "well off."

My guess is he's not yet sure what he's going to do. He'll probably have Kruger talk to people in the know and see where he stands with NBA scouts. He'll make his decision after hearing what they say.

To me, this is the prudent thing to do. I wouldn't be too surprised either way.
