Buddy's Kings debut

Despite coming off the bench and being 7th on the team in MPG (playing less than half the game), Buddy is 2nd in scoring (12 PPG), 3rd in PER (17.2), and 1st in steals (1.2). I can only surmise that his defense is keeping him from logging more minutes.

In tonigth's action (a win) he goes 4 of 5 from 3 and finishes with 18 points and 7 rebounds.

You just beat me, but here are some more stats.

Buddy had 18 points tonight in 33 minutes in a win over New Orleans. He shot 7-of-12 (4-of-5) with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and three turnovers.

+21. (Don't ask me.)

Buddy had 17 points in a loss to the Raptors. He played 28 minutes and shot 7-for-13 (3-for-5) with three rebounds, two assists, a steal and six turnovers. As has become the norm for him, he was the second leading scorer on the team.

The team is just so trash. Put him on the Celtics or the Warriors off the bench and he gets free shots to score 15 a game on a winning team.

Another nice game tonight in a win. 14 points on 6-14, 2-5 from three. Entered the night fourth in the league in 3-pt FG%.

Kings need to lose lose and lose this year. Keep that top 5 pick and then try to do some damage next year. I think they could be pretty solid next season actually. Buddy has been pretty dang good for the last few weeks it looks like.

And that pick needs to be good because their 2019 pick is a swap with the 76ers who'll be a high seeded playoff team (as long as Embiid and Simmons stay healthy-ish).

Big game tonight for Buddy in a win over Philly. 24 points in 28 minutes on 9-for-19 (3-for-9, 3-for-3 from the line) shooting, with five rebounds, two assists, three steals and three turnovers.

+14

Gee, Skyvue, you seem to be obsessed with that +/- stat.

Just kidding, just kidding. :D

Actually, I think he was a +17 which was tops on the team. The prior game, he gets 7 points in like 19 minutes...still confused a bit about his role. He's the second-leading scorer on the team, but in some games is 7th or 8th in minutes played.

Man, can that kid shoot.....

I've got to assume his defense is lacking on those nights he plays 15 or so minutes. Joerger must be making a point there. Buddy will flirt with 50-40-90 once he becomes a better finisher. As hard as he works, I'm sure that will improve.

The only time I saw Wayman play an NBA game, he was with Indiana. My boss at the time gave me his near-courtside tickets to see the Pacers play the Knicks and I was eager to see Wayman light it up.

He went scoreless and fouled out.

I was sorely tempted to go see Buddy and the Kings play the Nets tonight, but talked myself out of it. I'm trying to get caught up at work so I can take a few days off next week and the only seats I could afford were in the nosebleed section.

Man, did I dodge a bullet. Buddy scored two points on 1-of-7 (0-for-2) shooting in 16 minutes of action. Two rebounds, one assist, no steals, no blocks.

He did somehow finish +4, though.

Buddy started tonight and lead the Kings in scoring in a loss to San Antonio. 24 points in 31 minutes of action on 9-of-17 shooting (4-of-7, 2-of-2) with eight rebounds, one assist and one block.
