Buford

I hope he can drive some and score in the post. If he could perfect one post move and improve that drive, he will be a very good offensive player.

I'm very confident he can get to the rim, his first step looks really quick to me.

Yes, he can, and with authority. Dante can be good down low when he figures everything out. He'll get there in time. This game has to be a huge confidence builder for him.

He has already shown that. I want to see one post move. If he adds that to his game, he will be a very good offensive player because the defenders will have to come out to the Bree point line, he can exploit bat to get low post position on his defender. His drive will make it difficult to defend him with the ball on the three point line.

I think he is going to be a big part of the team next season.

Really happy to see this kid break out a little. I know it was a loss but a lot of good came out of this game. Cousins was on the attack and fantastic all game. Buddy was Buddy but we need better shot selection at times. Buford has stepped up in the last 2 games and I think that's huge. He was really aggressive and confident in his game. AK also affected the game. James was aggressive. They just need to keep on coming on and we'll turn around at a point this season with a really solid 9 man deep rotation.

Dude needs minutes from here on out! No matter what is going on he needs to play. Spangler is hurt or worn out. Cut his minutes down and lets build of this.

Great game and again I'm not too upset. We have 2 losses and both I think make me feel better about this team which is weird, but these games show we can play anywhere and with anyone.

Hmm. I was seeing a little bit of Cam Clark in him tonight.

I thought the same thing. I think Buford will develop some post game, but I don't think his go to offensive game will be with his back to the basket like Osby. I think he'll be a "slash and shoot" 4 who will be able to take advantage of smaller players on the block when the opportunity presents itself.

I think he is above 50% on his threes for the season now. He has limited attempts but it is insane that three players are above 50% this late into the season and another two are above 40%

When I watch Buford and think about what could be, I think of Damion James of UT. The OU coaches joked around with Buddy last year calling him "Heslep" because of his propensity to settle for 3s alot. Well, I think Buford kind of may think of himself as more of a guard, but I don't know. I know he wanted to play the 3 when he was recruited. But at 6-7, great leaping ability, and good body size he could be a plus rebounder. At 6-7 Damion James was an undersized 4 but he was strong and could leap and mixed it up with the big boys. He was a great rebounder. He later on in his career added really above average outside shooting to his game. We see Buford can shoot it a little. Now I hope here in the last half of the year he gets down in there and mixes it up some more, kind of like he did the first game against Memphis. He has many tools, and appears he could score in many different ways..

He played amazing last night. But those threes won't always fall like they did last night. 1 or 2 attempts a game i could live with. But we need him to be a force down low and i think he can be. He reminds me of a little slimmer taj grey which is exactly what this team needs

Not at that percentage but if he is shooting 50% on the season, then keep shooting the three because you can obviously make that shot.
