Well, if he is still waiting to talk to him, he might. Joe knows all those numbers you mentioned above, and we still appear to want to at least talk to Buzz.

Yes, with each passing day more coaches become available by losing in the NIT or NCAA. All of the numbers being discussed are known by Joe with much more accuracy than message board guessing. So, if he is waiting on Buzz it is not like he is going to be surprised by the price tag.

Everyone assumes that Marquette will just eagerly price Buzz out of our range. That may or may not be the case. Every Athletic Director has a short list of people they would turn to in case their coach leaves or dies suddenly. It could be possible that Marquette wants to go another direction rather than bidding Buzz up. I don't really think that is the case but it could be. Remember whatever they bid him up to they will have to pay from now on.

Once a coach expresses his interest in coaching at another school, it's amazing how easily the buyout is negoiated down.... If Buzz tells Marquette he wants to go to OU, why would they force him to stay at Marquette. They would be dumb to..

IF the buyout is north of 3 million, it will get dropped to around $2 million, is my guess... It does no good for Marquette to force him to stay there if he wants to be somewhere else, and that is a limiting buyout. But, they will want something from us for taking him...
