What do you not understand?
What do you not understand?
Because one industry doesn’t like it, it means it’s a failure?
It’s a huge industry for one, it’s increased our national debt even more, and the US manufacturing it was supposed to be for aren’t getting the benefits because companies are getting a lot of the lost merchandise from Mexico & Venezuela.
It’s not a quick fix
I for one don’t want to give China a damn dime
Explain to me why it will bring more to vote. Are there not places to vote downtown?
It's absolutely going to generate more voting. How much more, I don't know. But any increased voting is not good news for Republicans, especially in big cities.

If the black voters of the upper Midwest and the Rust Belt had come out for Hillary Clinton as they did for President Obama we'd have a woman in the White House today. But they didn't, and it remains to be seen if they'll roll out for VP Biden. I'm skeptical.
Trump's base is involved, and they back up their support with their vote.
I’m more inclined to believe it could backfire on the Democrats. Residents of these cities (many of them African American and Hispanic) can’t possibly be happy with the way their cities are being run. Their pleas for help have been largely ignored for several months. Violence and destruction have been the norm since early summer, yet the Democratic mayors have turned a deaf ear to President Trump’s offers of assistance.

Unlikely, in my opinion. More voting is typically never recognized as good for Republicans.
I will be curious to see which narrative wins out.
The current "con" being put out by the current regime is that, only Donald Trump can save you from what is going on under Donald Trump's watch right now. Everything you are upset about is happening under him. I've NEVER seen so much fear peddled at a political convention. It is now the primary weapon.
Covid has hurt American badly, and cost 185,000 lives.... Trump takes no blame. Trump takes no accountability, by his own words. Protests are happening around the country, under Trump's watch.... Trump has nothing to do with it.
- Only Trump can save you from the mess he created with China.
- Only Trump can save you from the mess he created with Iran.
- Only Trump can save you from the mess he created with his failed Covid response.
- Only Trump can finish the border wall that has created about 15 miles of NEW wall, where there was no barrier before.
- Only Trump can save you from the mess he created with our allies
- I don't even think they are pretending to cast themselves as saviors of fiscal responsibility anymore. After the tax cuts, debt ballooning, large surges in military spending, etc. Kinda hard to make that argument.
Here is the basic idea.
.
- Lots of people don't vote.
- There is, without a doubt, voter suppression in minority communities
- The NBA, it's stars, coaches, etc are going to use their platform to get people to not only register to vote, but also to vote
- Lots of people may think traditional voting lines are unsafe this year due to Covid.
- Lots of black areas are victims of targeted voter suppression tactics, like what we have seen in Georgia. Closed poll locations, 5 hour waits in line, etc
- Having an easily accessible, safe place to vote from October 13th to November 3rd will likely encourage more people to vote. Having them as early stations will give people a lot more time to vote as well.
- Events are also being scheduled at these arenas, MLB stadiums, etc for September to get more people registered to vote. This will create some new voters as well
Lebron is spending millions of dollars to get more poll workers, poll stations, etc in urban communities, minority communities, etc. On top of that, spending a lot of money to get everyone to come out and vote. He is being assisted by Patrick Mahomes, Lisa Leslie, Damian Lillard, Michael Jordan, and many others. Also hearing that at these places, the players themselves may be volunteers at the polls, to have enough people to run a good election, and to also bring people out. You don't think people will come out to see Lebron, Trae Young, Luka Doncic, Michael Jordan, etc?
For example, in another swing state, North Carolina...
Bank of America Stadium (where the Panthers play), and Spectrum Arena (where the Hornets play) are also early voting sites. Michael Jordan is spending tens of millions of dollars to address voter suppression, get people to vote, give people a safe place to vote that will be quick, etc.
Spectrum Center will host early voting for the 2020 elections from October 15 – 31. Voting hours will be 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Sundays.
The dems are stoking the fear
The dems are stoking the fear and saying everyone is a racist.
While I'm in agreement about the never-ending "racist" comments that have long gotten old, I think both parties are pretty adept at "stoking the fear".
Although neither candidate is even remotely interested in "uniting the country", I fear it will get worse if Trump is re-elected. I also fear that if Biden wins, the economy will come back much slower post-Covid (assuming effective vaccine). In other words, I have to decide who the lesser of two evils are for the second straight election. I had a pretty easy decision in 2008 (Obama) and 2012 (Romney), but this is not going to be a lot harder for me.

Biden: worse economy, higher unemployment, mob rule, more division, horrible foreign policy taking more American jobs and further diminishing everything American.
The dems support the mob. They support the violence to achieve their ends. That’s not how a democratic republic operates. A vote for Biden is a vote for the mob.
Trump: better economy, law and order, decreased unemployment, creating more jobs for American citizens.

Don’t reward the mob cuz they may come for you too. We are a nation of law and order.
