He jokes around about being 40 lbs over his playing weight. Then we fielded a team with numerous players who are obviously carrying a few extra pounds. Good basketball players are almost always lean and mean to the point of looking skinny.

It starts with you coach. Lead these guys by example.

I think there's something to what you're saying here bocabull. For example, see Bill Self. Had he went with hair re-growth products and or hair plugs rather than the toupee, KU probably would've beaten Northern Iowa.

wait are you serious? arent a lot of coaches overweight or not fit to be playing bball

Somewhere Rick Majerus is disagreeing with you about having to lead by example...

Wisecracks come when there is no intelligent response.

Please tell me how Capel getting in better shape could possibly be a bad thing for our team. Especially considering the BMI of our freshman compared to other teams.

Coale is not overweight, her and Courtney got in shape together

Well, if he is spending more time on the treadmill than coaching, that might be a bad thing. I think I see what your saying, but let's be realistic, its not like Capel is fat or anything.

hopefully ray willis doesnt try to gain weight.

its not like weve been getting skinny guys and making them fat. tiny gallon has lost like 80 lbs

Two guys could be considered overweight or out of shape and both of them have lost several pounds coming into and throughout the season. I also think most coaches probably weigh more than their playing weight in college, that doesn't mean they are overweight by any means. I think if you had a S&C coach that was overweight then you'd have a problem.

bocbull is certainly on a roll the past few days.

Looking forward to the next post from crazy town.
