Whose responsibility is it for the fact that this is the "youngest, most inexperienced" team OU has had? The buck stops with Capel himself. This is his fifth season. We shouldn't be totally rebuilding the program in the 5th season of a coaching tenure.

I'm willing to give the guy another year. If he misses the tournament next year, I want him gone. If not being satisfied with missing the tournament 4 out of 6 years means I have an "itchy trigger finger", so be it.

Its not being cool..its being realistic. Warren, Gallon, and TMG left us; along with Crocker and Wright. 3, 2, or even 1 of those guys returns...and our season improves. But Instead we have to have one of the youngest teams in history and you expected us to be an all-star team.

What if those guys returned...and we put together a solid season...does Capel still suck even though he is the same coach?!?! Exactly...Its a rebuilding year...deal w/ it.

You can be dissatisfied and be supportive. Im sure you the type when OU Football struggles to blame Kevin Wilson and Landry Jones. I think we both know this is true.

its not like you can go and get the exact kids you want every year. a good coach is going to do what he has to each year.

Well since it's pretty much impossible to argue with "what if", I'll just leave that.

I in no way expected us to have an "all-star team" this season. What I DID expect is to be somewhere in the neighborhood of a .500 basketball team. Up until this point it's looking like this team is going to struggle to reach 12 wins, and even that could be a stretch. Couple that with a 13-18 record last year, and yeah I am very concerned.

I am going to say what I have said numerous times in this thread, but you refuse to address: he gets one more year. If he turns things around and makes the tourney, awesome. No one will be happier than I. If he doesn't, then we need a change. Missing the tournament 4 out of 6 years at the University of Oklahoma is not acceptable.

UNC totally rebuilt a couple years ago... they can replace those guys with 5 stars, we cant do that... Its going to take a couple years.

Teams rebuild when they lose their rosters to graduation and the draft. Thats what happened this year. We didn't even have a winning season last year and we had 3 guys enter the draft. 2 got drafted. So yes, he had to rebuild this year. UNC lost their team and looked what happen...they had to rebuild. Florida lost their team and they had to rebuild. UCLA is going thru a rebuilding mode. Its just not us that has to go thru these times.

Rebuilding years happen after graduations and early draft entries leave us with youth and inexperience. We just have to go thru it 2 straight years.

But yes, if We don't make it next season...then yes, fire Capel. We won't be young and we won't be inexperience.
