Hypothetical...

Let's say he does get fired, this year or next, what does his future forecast look like?

Will he have to go be an assistant somewhere or does a smaller D1 school take a flyer?

i think he will find somewhere in a lesser conference as a head coach

He'll probably end up somewhere on the east coast as a head coach, but he'd be a great "recruiting assistant" at a big time school. He never really closed on them, but he was certainly savvy enough to get a lot of big-timers in here for visits I would've have never thought we could get in on. Terrence Jones, Doron Lamb, Rakeem Christmas just to name a few.

Excellent point(s). He's done a good job getting kids interested enough to visit.

I always thought and still think that he needed a little more seasoning. After VCU, his next stop should have been a place like UTEP, Tulsa...somewhere that's middle of the road.

His brother will hire him at App State or his dad will get him a position in the NBA.

He will coach again at a mid major...i dont see him having to step as far down as an asst at that level...i dont know him personally but i think he wants to be in the college game...

He loves the NBA... he said few years ago that coaching isnt something he wants to do the rest of his life. He wants to be a GM in the NBA.

I think his future DOES involve GM....but on a car lot vice a basketball court.

Assistant in NBA. He is not a head coach at any level except high school.

Following his father in law he will be a state senator in North carolina.

Whatever it is, especially if it's remaining at OU, I hope he's incredibly successful at it.

Hard to say, that'll be a decade or so down the road...

He'll get a job at a basketball school and be able to close on the players he could only get to visit OU.
