I really think that Carl will be the key guy regarding whether or not we finish 11th (ahead of Iowa State) or in the 5-8 range.
Can he defend at the level of an average PG? Can he lead a team on the floor? Those questions remain to be seen, but I can't tell how big time is was for Coach Capel to land a PG with D1 experience to replace my boy TMG. Really got to give Coach props for finding Carl that late in the process. Let's hope he comes in ready to work.
Just curious what your expectations are for him next year? (Please keep in mind that obviously this is just a random guess from all of us on here)
Mine: Earn a starting spot (hopefully TJ and Calvin will make him really earn it). Show some leadership on the floor. Play with effort on both ends. And be as steady has Marquis Carter most likely would have been for us this year. I really don't think we need him to score a whole lot, but I'd love for him to be able to knock down the open trey.
What say you?
