Did Cobbins redshirt this year because of an injury or because he just wasn't going to crack the rotation?

I remember reading a lot about him early last summer when Mizzou was recruiting him. Seemed like a really intriguing prospect, but I believe he had some kind of major injury. Don't remember the details, though...

Combo of both, I think. His knee still wasn't 100%, and he was behind 4 guys, so they decided to redshirt him, since they didn't want him to only get in a handful of games, and burn his freshman year.

I bet they figured Moses, Pilgrim, and Darrell Williams (all much older guys) were going to dominate the minutes, which they did. Cobbins will be better off for the redshirt, as will Brian Williams.

i literally think im about to cry. OU basketball is probably going to be in worse shape than it has ever been unless joe c has SOME miracle planned. Capel was turning things around & probably going to bring in some pretty good recruits. how convenient cezar commits to OSU the DAY capel gets fired. the team really liked capel i know blair did obviously pledge did i know cam did... what if these guys leave? we wont win 10 games next year. & no cade? dang this is tough. im sad

If Page doesn't have to handle the ball. His shooting numbers will go back up. If Gulley can come back healthy and Dowell continues to improve then Page can work off of screens and such.

I hear Williams is a good shooter but we'll see. Another post is needed badly though.

I am cautiously optimistic about this commit. Judging from the videos Cezar is a shoot first PG and is very Cocky. His game reminds me of TMG a little, I just hope he doesn't have the off the court issues.

I think it will help OSU that Dowell has played better as of late. I expect Cezar to come off the bench next year which should keep him hungry and grounded.

Will fit in great with this class and Nash...

I think there is a ton of potential with this group and Fords style of play (if he indeed gets them back to the speed they played at UMass)...

Will be interesting to watch them play and see if they emplode the program like our class two years ago did, or if Ford is able to get the most out of them and turn them into a Sweet 16 team and beyond (i think they will have that type of talent)...

If I had to guess I'd say because he was committed to western Kentucky for so long that everybody backed off and by the time he opened his recruitment back up a lot of teams didn't have any scholarships available or already had a point guard
