Classic. Hightower and Billy - with a mic!

Classic indeed! How appropriate that Billy is standing next to Hightower with a mic in his hand. I'll never forget his now famous "No matter how bad the officiating..." announcement that earned him a technical from good ol' Ed. Hard to believe 25 years have passed since then.

Anyone know if Hightower received a special invitation to the reunion celebration? Since the mic is in Billy's hand, I assume they're hamming it up about the '89 technical Ed gave Billy.

He wanted a technical foul. Tubbs knew exactly what he was doing. OU was not being aggressive. Missouri was destroying OU and he wanted to fire up the crowd and his team. That was one of my best sports memories from undergrad.

I never loved Hightower as ref (he seemed to want attention too much), but he always seemed like a good guy. Great picture.
