Christian James hopes to emulate Buddy Hield

Wait, I thought Christian James and Buddy had "chemistry issues"? :facepalm

Usually your are harder on the people you are closer with since you expect more from them. Too bad that gets suggested that they don't like each other.

I think BOB said that tongue in cheek. He is well aware of what Buddy is trying to do with young Mr. James.

The most important thing is that Christian (and a few others I'm pleased to say) have dedicated themselves to emulating Buddy Hield, one of the hardest working players OU's basketball program has ever seen. Players like Buddy and Isaiah have set an example for our younger guys to follow. If the youngsters continue to do that, the legacy our seniors leave behind after this season will live on long after they're gone.

Yes i knew what BOB was saying, I was just agreeing with him in my own way.

Shouldn't the title of this article be "Christian James hopes to emulate Klay Thompson?"

I just hope James has better handles than Hield. I think that is one thing that is holding us back a bit, we don't have guards that handle the ball well in traffic, and I include Cousins and to a lesser extend Woodard in that group.

Never said it was a chemistry issue. I said this team wasn't having fun. Only stated Buddy and several players got into it on camera. He is a passionate player and one who is probably the hardest working in all of college basketball. With that being said, I wish every player we had wanted to emulate Buddy. Just not the hair....too late (Lattin)

That hair style may have its advantages in that it makes Buddy harder to find for a defender. ;)

With these kids, they should be practicing as much as possible. They will almost all make money playing professional basketball at some level for a few years. The more they work the higher the level. It is sort of like a double major or secondary degree for a normal student. People that become doctors work insanely hard for about 6-8 years (I think, I am not a doctor) not counting undergrad but then are compensated really well. If the OU basketball team develops a tradition of working insanely hard, just imagine how fun it will be for us and I think it will pay off for all of the guys too. Obviously they won' t all make the NBA but I think their are lots of leagues that pay six figures.
