If this is true, I'd at least feel confident saying that a potential postseason ban would only last 1 year (there's no way Clarke would take the offer if we couldn't make the postseason in 2012-13). In any case...this makes the 2012-13 season extremely intriguing...we could be a force if Clarke gets his head on straight.

Hope he is right on this one but his reliability of late has been spotty. I'd take Sam or William over him any day when it comes to OU basketball recruiting.

I wouldn't say absolutely.
Dude throws so much stuff to the wall, some of it sticks and some of it doesn't. When Capel was still our coach, I was hoping he was correct in his postings that Capel was to be fired. He was correct.
When we were hiring a new coach, I was hoping he was wrong about us going after the guy from Memphis. He was wrong.
I wouldn't say absolutely.

The guy is REALLY good friends with Memphis coach Josh Pastner. I'm pretty sure he was right about us going after him. We didn't end up with Pastner but that doesn't mean he wasn't courted.

I don't think this is correct at all. I'm almost positive he was really good friends with a friend of a friend of a friend of Pastner.
And I'm not sure I believe we courted him (Pastner) at all.

I think we wanted Clarke if we had a schollie to give.
I think we had a schollie to give if we didn't lose one due to the gallon deal.
I think Clarke wanted to come if we had a schollie, but not if he had to walk on.
We weren't going to have a schollie for him, and he went in another direction. I would have to.
There is no way to know how much impact Clarke would have made, but he would have made one. We could have used him. Some think others would have been a better choice, and maybe they are right. But, if you think Clarke wouldn't have helped, then I think you are dead wrong. The kid can play and he has a very special skill that is not very common.
Good luck to Clarke, he is a dandy player and I would have loved to watch him play at OU. We will be fine without him.
