Is this the worst class of instate talent in the last 10 years? Not a single player in the top 100
Omega Harris of PCW is a very talented PG notice I said PG while so many people r say he is not on rivals this is true however he is on ESPN #35 as SG also Scouts know as Fox sports #22 also SG. Omega has an offer from OU, FRESNO ST, being heavily recruited by OSUr Miami, Minnesota, Kansas, Georgia, Iowa, Tulsa, so I would say there is some pretty good talent in 2014. There are plenty of talented kids in this class so before you say its the worst know what you are talking about please and thank. Have a good one folks :ez-roll:
Did I say it's the worst? No, I asked a question. Have fun at school tomorrow. Don't put pea gravel up your nose at recess
This is a great sentence:
"Omega Harris at Putnam City West is really good and has kind of an if you come here OU of with interest"
Omega Harris at Putnam City West is really good and has kind of an if you come here OU of with interest from Miami and Georgia . Carson Meier 6'7 forward out of Tulsa Union has a chance to be really good and of course 6'10 Jacob Hammonds the OU signee has a lot of potential.
The problem for the State of Oklahoma is that there is not a stable AAU scene is unstable and uneducated about how to put their kids in a situation to be seen. What Sam is doing with the OKHoops website has help get some of the Oklahoma players exposure, but it has just been regional for the most pat.
I can tell you for a fact though that some of the kids who are ranked in these rankings aren't as good a few kids I have saw in Oklahoma. From doing scouting in Oklahoma there is a lot of politicking that goes on from local coaches who want to see there kids get ranked high. I imagine it happens on the National level on a major scale.
This class may not have a Blake Griffin or Sheldon Williams, however I think it is a class that could be a surprise down the road.
By the way, you guys who worry about grammar and misspelled words, obviously don't remember JessieW, the Zona fan (or was it the Zags?) who used to frequent this board. He posted in riddles a code breaker couldn't decipher. :ez-laugh:
The only poster on this board that has ever rightfully been ripped for spelling or grammar on this board is Jessie. That cat was like Yoda but drunk. Anyway, back to the original post, if there are 100 players in the 2014 class better than Omega Harris in 2014, I'll eat my shoe, that kid is good.
I really hope OU lands him. Glad Kruger and company built a relationship with him early!
Oklahoma is a state that seems to run hot and cold with instate talent. While you may have to look hard beyond Harris and Hammond to find high-profile recruits in 2014, the 2013 class has a a covey of players who received national attention. It has been like that for as long as I can remember. If OU can land Omega Harris to go with Jacob Hammond, our instate recruiting will be a huge success.
