Classy quote by Ford

Cade has played in his senior year, the way he played through out his high school career. I know that college is different. I don't think Cade would have benefited from a red-shirt. I believe that Cade has played the way that he has this year and last because he was allowed to, had to. Cade was NEVER a 3-point "specialist" until he came to OU. He shot 'em, but not regularly. When you see him, like he did tonight, find buckets, that is what he always did.
Perhaps, he couldn't have done those things as a freshman at the college level, but after that, he had the tools he needed to do that. It wasn't his assigned "role".

Crocker couldn't defend on the ball, couldn't rebound, couldn't hit the three, couldn't drive and was awful dribbling the basketball (especially in traffic) as a freshman.

As a sophomore, he really worked on his range and consistency with his jumper and became a better on the ball defender.

As a junior, his dribbling really improved and he got even better from deep (man I loved that game against the 'Cuse)

As a senior, he became a really good rebounder and really improved his ability to drive the basketball.

What hurt Crock was that he never was very good at away from the ball defense, helpside defense, and rotations. The mental part of the game got to him as well.

I think Crock's development over four years was pretty remarkable and a testament to how hard he worked as a player and to the coaching staff. His shooting as a freshman left a lot to be desired and was only overshadowed by the fact that everytime he tried to dribble the basketball it would end up out of bounds or in the other team's hands!
i DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE SNORTING WHILE WATCHING CROCKER PLAY but 1)HE SCORED 1300 + POINTS IN HIS CAREER,2)HE WAS ALMOST ALWAYS ASSIGNED TO DEFEND THE OPPOSITION'S BEST OFFENSIVE WING PLAYER,#3)HE SHOT 36.7 % FROM 3PT RANGE.OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T LET FACTS GET IN YOUR WAY.nOT BASHING CADE BUT ALL THESE MARKS ARE BETTER THAN HIS.

I don't see Cade having a position in the NBA. I don't think he is good enough, especially from outside the arc, to play SG. He isn't big enough to play SF. A few years ago I'd have said there was no shot of him sniffing a roster. After Taylor got a couple of bench years though, I'd say that Cade might catch on in that capacity, to provide effort in practice, and not get in trouble. Seems to account for much more in the NBA these days.

But yea, no reason he can't go play in Europe and make some coin.

Yeah, I use my iPad with this board and sometimes the autocomplete causes some issues. Like I said, the comment wasn't pointed at you, I know you support Cade.

I have the same problem with my iPad and wondered if your post was changed by autocomplete. But, after your post I couldn't let that slide.

Funny thing is, a few weeks back, I was typing a post to jmizzy but autocomplete kept changing it to Missy. I didn't notice until I hit submit and changed it asap but not in time because jmizzy saw it. I was posting fast to try and explain I was not calling Missy to get under his skin. :ez-laugh:
