according to Toby the starters will be Bieniemy, CJ, Odomes, Manek, and Doolittle.

Is this to resolve our scoring droughts??

you're probably right. they did come out with good energy

Radio broadcast said they wanted to be able to switch 1-5 vs Texas’ starters

It's notable that last night was the team's 2nd worst defensive performance of the season, giving up 1.18 points per possession. It might be coincidence but maybe the fact that Calixte & Reynolds played just 23 minutes combined is a factor.

Also, the KSU game was the team's 3rd worst defensive performance of the season so maybe it has nothing to do with lineups at all & everything to do with just playing worse. Or, maybe it's about matchups -- playing consecutive games against teams w outstanding bigs & OU getting very little from McNeace.

so in other words your metric is rather useless. I saw some guys playing off their man further so they could assist with the bigs and this often left them a step back on the regular pass around the perimeter, 2 off the skip pass, and a few on the pitch out. They did this against KState who just immediately took the shot or made a move. Last night so many of the whorns were reluctant to shoot and they actually waited for the closeout to react. Aside, that is, from Roach who ate that up.

We spent way too much time being reactive instead of proactive and it made them confident. Problem was the game we have to be proactive with wasn't working. CJ wasn't hitting and has lost confidence, McNeace is in some post-injury funk, and they were playing tight on the guards so they couldnt find a lane.

Sometimes basketball's all fascist and you just hafta hit some shots.

Gave up 29 points on 38% in the 1st half

Not sure what changed in 2nd half (for both teams)

Seemed like Roach’s quickness was a major problem.

Would a smaller guard like Calixte or Reynolds done better on him?

Most of the 2nd half, we couldn't find anyone that was able to keep Coleman or Roach in front of them. Once those guys drove, the help defense came over and then both of those guys were dishing to the open shooter. It really didn't matter who we had in the game, they were too quick. Thus, I was perplexed why Kruger didn't try a zone for a few possessions. Texas really struggles with their outside shooting and I thought the zone would have a been a good option.
