Funny what happens when you go back to an offensive style that put you on the map in the first place..... Of course, they have Perine and Mixon tearing it up, but they had Quentin Griffin tearing it up in this offense as well back in the day. "Q" ran for 1800 yards in a spread offense.
OU has good talent (although I think they could use some better receivers), but the "pistol" schemes over the past 5 years just weren't getting it done. They hire Lincoln Riley, a mad scientist in the mold of a Mike Leach, and OU is back on top.
Stoops deserves the credit for realizing his mistake and going back to what works.
