Funny what happens when you go back to an offensive style that put you on the map in the first place..... Of course, they have Perine and Mixon tearing it up, but they had Quentin Griffin tearing it up in this offense as well back in the day. "Q" ran for 1800 yards in a spread offense.

OU has good talent (although I think they could use some better receivers), but the "pistol" schemes over the past 5 years just weren't getting it done. They hire Lincoln Riley, a mad scientist in the mold of a Mike Leach, and OU is back on top.

Stoops deserves the credit for realizing his mistake and going back to what works.

Funny that Bob + Mike + a coach from the Leach tree (Riley OC'd for former Tech assistant Ruffin McNeill at ECU) would have a team in the hunt for a title.

Because of the boatrace that was Bedlam 2015, we may even end as the #2 seed. Boomer!

Amazing what the addition of an AMAZING walk on QB and a focused team / coaches can accomplish. What a great year for OU Football. Can't wait for Lon's crew to emulate the success in basketball. Boomer Sooner.

It is as much on mayfield as lincoln imo. Yes this new system is better but we do still line up in the pistol quite a bit. And we saw how the offense looked without mayfield and it wasn't pretty.

That is what happens when you have a competent offense. they feed off of each other. Last year we couldn't sustain drives and we were young on that side of the ball.

Great job by the football team! It has been a fun season to be a Sooner Football fan. It was fun to celebrate the football team's accomplishments at halftime of the Wisconsin game.

Lots of players had special seasons. The senior class is full of play-makers .. DeVante Bond .. Ty Darlington .. Nick Hodgson .. Nila Kasitati .. Durron Neal .. Frank Shannon .. Sterling Shepherd .. Eric Striker .. Charles Tapper .. and others.

Its a team sport, but this 2015 OU football team was not going to be a Big-12 Championship Team without one special leader. Baker Mayfield.
