In no way did this one play cost us the game, 1st half was awful and we only had cousins, Hornbeak, and Clark play well. However, the lob cousins threw Hornbeak with about 2 minutes left me absolutely furious. He played well and I'm not blaming this on the loss but that was a stupid decision.

Was to Hield and yes it was stupid but a 50/50. You think the d is going with Hield as trailer. I blame Hield for lack of "it" tonight.

The coaches will not be impressed with that pick up game nonsense when they watch film and discuss this game.

It's a microcosm of not valuing the ball all year. Kelvin is nauseous watching OU play this year.

We got a **** sandwich tonight from this team. But watching Kelvins teams play offense made me sick! Hated the style of play.

But that argument is for another day.

Gotta be A LOT better the rest of the year.

They may have been novacane to watch but his teams valued the bball.

Lon isn't letting his team play careless with the ball, in the 2nd half you could tell Lon preached on turnovers and moving the ball. In no way was the poor decision by cousins a product of how Kruger coaches.

He may not coach them to not be careless with the ball but it's been a problem all year. Fortunately they've been ahead in most games but it's certainly prevented them from pulling away in almost every game. Bottom line this needs to improve, and judging by the majority of the season it isn't going to happen this year.

I agree. Coach Kruger will privately have quite a bit to say to Cousins about that decision. Cousins made a mistake but he was also one of the reasons OU didn't lose by 30.

Sorry, but your memory is failing you. Let me interject some facts.

Sampson
1995 14.38 TO PG
1996 12.90
1997 14.10
1998 15.36
1999 14.00
2000 12.71
2001 12.52
2002 11.69
2003 12.06
2004 13.00
2005 13.48
2006 13.97

Kruger
2012 12.71 TO PG
2013 11.75
2014 12.00 (tonight included)

In Sampson's entire career at OU he had 1 team turn the ball over less frequently than this team (11.69 vs 12.00). Find something else to complain about because this is a non issue.

Oh, and for the record I loved Coach Sampson.

That's why they call him the Stat Geek, lol.

meh. I like the fact that they're wide open to make plays like that. If the play had been successful there wouldnt be a word said. it's just the difference between starting off wide open and trying to throttle down or starting off at a low rpm and trying to rev it up.

I am enjoying what the coach has them doing right now and I support him ... even if it leads to some crap like that.

The best year for Sampson's teams was 2002.......Final Four.

Hey, tech played well but we shot the ball like junk. Wide open shots except for a few Cam shots! He's good for a few of those per game. And Buddy was so careless with the ball.:facepalm Maybe the only true egg I have seen this team lay though.

Something that has not been mentioned is that the man he was ooping to got fouled as the Tech player undercut him.

I hate when actual facts get in the way of my "sky is falling" moaning and complaining. I stand corrected Stat Geek, thank you.

Cam didn't jump or it would have been a foul. He got cut off from the oop, can't get undercut if you don't leave the floor. I'm not blaming cam by the way.

i haven't really seen it as an issue all year. I could be wrong though. Buddy seems to be the worst.

I think when Cousins threw the ball, Cam knew he didn't have a shot to finish the oop so I think he tried to play it off the backboard and it just bounced to the TT guy. That's what I remember about it. I don't think the ref would've given us the call because they usually don't reward bad decisions. It was a mistake, but you can bet Cousins won't do that again. That loss may have been what the doctor ordered. Hopefully it'll wake this team up and they can finish the rest of the season strong. I don't know what's happened to Spangler lately, but I hope he brings it on Saturday.
