Fess up. Which one of you hooligans made this poor guy call security? Boca?

POKEaLOT: Just got back from my first Bedlam game in Norman in over twenty years. I must say that not much has changed. Every time we missed a shot or OU scored the guy behind me yelled out F*** you OSU. High class I tell you what. And these were not cheap seats. I sat in the 2nd row behind the OU bench. It was especially fun when I went into the "Sooner Club" for dinner and was surrounded by about 100 sooner fans. Enemy territory, but my posse stood our ground.

The most irritating thing was the guy behind started talking crap to our group and kneeing/kicking us in the head/back/neck any chance he got (my buddy actually had a foot print on the back of his shirt, he is also an officer, btw). After 10 minutes of game time, we had had enough.and told the on duty officer that was a few seats away near the bench to watch this guy. Need less to say he was escorted out within 1 minute.

In hindsight, I think i will wait another 20 years before going back.....I know that there are high class fans and low class fans on both sides of the rivalry, but one would think that they couldn't afford to sit in such pricey seats. Unless the rent on his trailer was that cheap???

I sat behind the OSU bench and kept shouting "Lob Stilly' whenever they had a failed dunk and whenever OU dunked. But that was the extent of my abuse.

The guy who told that story was obviously the aggie version of Stu.

Most of these stories are grossly exaggerated. He went into the Sooner Club dinner, with an intimate 100 people and someone put a foot print in his back and kicked him in the neck (i mean who was it, Bruce Lee?)Please.

And lol at the trailer park comment. The schools are in the same state, moron.

People in glass trailers...

Intriguing that he so clearly associates classy behavior (or the lack thereof) with the amount of money a person makes. As if one necessarily has anything to do with the other.

And this meme among aggie fans that OU fans are blue collar (again, resentment of the working class) and live in trailers is an odd one, too. There's a political school of thought that says you should accuse your opponent of precisely your own shortcomings and misdeeds.

:clap:clap

That is why I related the story teller to Stu. Simply put he was flat out lying........

Why would a cowboy fan want to go to a sooner club dinner? I wouldn't want to go to a pro poke dinner right before a basketball game there. Also don't family of players and recruits sit in the rows right behind the OU bench. And if not then it would have been OU season ticket holders seats. So OU fan was nice enough to give or to sell him the ticket in the first place.

As these stories go, the foot print in the back of the shirt is a nice touch...

With all due respect to the OSU fans who have been welcome on this board for years, the majority of Poke fans I'm familiar with wrote the book on classless behavior. Try visiting the OSU boards sometime and you'll see what I mean. The hatred and abuse runs deep on their boards anytime OU is a topic of conversation.

Funny, too, that an OSU fan would use a lame knock on people who live in mobile homes. Out of curiosity I Googled mobile home communities in Stillwater and Norman with the following results: Norman has 9; Stillwater is way out in front with 14. Good try, moron! Congratulations on winning the trailer park race.

Medals will be struck! T-shirts will be created!

It's just too bad that foot print wasn't on his buddy's face instead of his back.

Eddie Sutton was at the game...maybe he's the mysterious high kicker? Somebody check the tread on his shoes.

OSU claims of fan abuse by mean ol' Gooners = some OU fan frowned at them.

Those stories will rarely have any credibility with me. I remember some posts from the 2003 football season, after the 52-9 smackdown of Less and Co. Someone circulated a story that a Poke fan claimed that Mark Clayton deliberately ran over a female cheerleader from OSU. And, even after it was correctly pointed out that it was an accident - Clayton and the Ag DB were both falling out of bounds by the endzone when the Poke tried to tackle him while scoring, and the guy still insisted that Clayton ran over the girl on purpose. :facepalm :facepalm

I've been in Stillwater for the football games the last two years. We have a long way to go to catch up to the punkness that is osu. I'll leave it at that.

My parents are the classiest, friendliest, nicest fans you'll find, but my mom, who went to oswho, reached the point where she refused to attend any games in Stillwater. And they used to go there for Bedlam football and basketball, year in and year out.

Honestly, if you've run off my parents, you've sunk pretty low as a fanbase.

The people who sit in the second row behind the OU bench are coaches families, recruits, families of the staff members, etc. I seriously doubt any OSU fans were sitting in the second row behind the OU bench.
