"He's flailing.... He's in a meltdown. He looks at his polls and he doesn't know who to blame. He blames his advisors, he's even blaming Fox News now, but he's just flailing. He's just throwing everything he can out and hoping he strikes a chord on something. But what he doesn't realize is, the base he has, the edges of that base are beginning to fray. That base is getting smaller and smaller. At the same time, because he's a Republican, he's causing a brand problem for Republicans. Mark my words, there is going to be a point in time where these folks are going to leave. Many of them will claim they didn't or don't support him, but in the meantime because they have gone along they've enabled him to do these outrageous things."
-Republican John Kasich

This now makes several times I have heard people say that the party is going to abandon him at some point prior to the election once polling becomes obvious that he can't win.. I heard someone else say they were going to distance themselves after Labor Day..

Democratic strategist James Carville has been my favorite to listen to on the topic because he's hilarious.

"There is a better chance that Donald Trump doesn't run, than there is that he is elected. I get private polls of all kinds every day, and it all confirms everything that we see now. Zero chance he gets re-elected. Someones going to have to tell him that he can't risk the humiliating defeat that is coming his way. That which can't continue will not. And the Republican Party can't continue in this direction. I'm serious. They can't."
-James Carville

"It's evident to everyone what is going to happen. This thing has gone so poorly, he's so far back, to me it doesn't even make sense for him to run. This is the Mitch strategy, after Labor Day we are going to turn on him. That's not going to work. McSally, Ernst, Sullivan, Lindsey Graham, etc have been licking his boots for 3 years but on Labor Day they plan to start distancing themselves. The chances of that working are 0. He is going to drag the whole outfit down with him. The guys over at The Lincoln Project are spending millions of dollars to just bludgeon him every day. I am part of group that has so far spent $75 million in rural counties. He (Trump) has no idea of what he's getting ready to get hit with. There are a lot more patriots in this country than he thinks, and people are outraged and they are coming together and they don't care if you are Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative. It's just a wonderful thing to see creative, energetic people coming together to extract this menace from the body politic"

Monmouth Poll shows 18% of country thinks we are on the right track
Politico Poll shows 25% of country thinks we are on the right track
Suffolk Poll shows 20% of country thinks we are on the right track
Pew Research Poll shows 12% of country thinks we are on the right track
LOL...talking polls again:ez-laugh:

I would not really care if somehow the republicans could remove Trump and replace him with somebody with similar policy but better character and tact. I would actually prefer that. But I don't think that is possible

If everyone polled was asked "if you could do a better job" how many would you think would say no? Understand who/what you are dealing with and you'll understand the obvious.

DeSean Jackson is thanking his lucky stars he's not white right now.

So the bar is now so low that Trump only has to do a better job than the janitor thinks he can do and you're happy?

I can't find what he actually said

Highlighted some things Hitler supposedly said, but come to find out it wasn’t Hitler. It was insanely stupid & he should probably get cut for it, especially since he hasn’t had a squeaky clean past.

The captain of a cruise ship steers it into a reef and it sinks. Afterwards, on the lifeboat someone asks everyone how they felt. "We were going the wrong direction!"

The captain says, "Don't blame me, you couldn't have done any better!"

"But it was your job to pilot the ship and that's what you were hired to do!"

The captain, "Why doesn't everyone love me????"

The polls were wrong in 2016, so now they are going to assume the polls are always wrong. They won't be wrong this time. He's done.

I’d say let it play out before you go there. They kept Riley Cooper after what he said.

Fellow athletes have been very slow on the trigger thus far. Half the league had commented at this point when Brees mentioned that players should respect the flag. I'll come back and eat my hat if he's not on an NFL roster this season.

The polls weren’t wrong. The polls said Trump was a long shot and he was. Sometimes the long shot wins.

You want that to be true so bad. However, it’s not. He’s going to win.

way to cover all the bases there.:ez-laugh:

The final polling aggregate had him at roughly a 30% chance of winning. That's about the same odds as flopping a pair in no limit hold 'em.

So you're misreading them as "wrong." He had a better chance of winning than Villanova had of beating Georgetown in the national championship game and we know how that turned out.

Yea, very close races in all the right states.

2016 Election Results
49% to 48% in Florida
47.5% to 47.2% in Michigan
47.2% to 46.5% in Wisconsin
48% to 47% in Pennsylvania

That's as razor thin as it gets.

The average of all major polling has:
  • Biden up 7 in Pennsylvania
  • Biden up 7 in Wisconsin
  • Biden up 5 in Florida
  • Biden up 8 in Michigan
  • Biden up 4 in Arizona
  • Biden up 3 in North Carolina

It's gonna get worse for him.

His favorability is at 38%. He's completely bungling the pandemic response and the economy is in the tank. Sure, he can win, but I would take that bet in a heartbeat.

It's seems that sharing antisemitic messages isn't nearly as frowned upon as respectfully disagreeing with militant marxist movements or the cancel culture.
