I sure as hell don't want a politburo making decisions....nor do I ever want to take incremental steps to creating any type of "policy and governing body" that resembles this.

In most cases, "the bigger the government, the smaller the citizen".

School boards, city councils, panels, commissions and other governing bodies make decisions like this all the time. We already have large governing bodies and agencies that make these decisions.

If somebody doesn't support totalitarian approaches, they're now an anarchist in support of a lawless society? These are the kind of arguments I expect from somebody with borderline personality disorder. There are several options in between.

Stating that the opinions of American citizens are relevant does not mean that everybody is free to their own individualized set of laws. If one person doesn't want to pay their speeding ticket, they obviously don't have that right, but that doesn't nullify the relevance of American citizen's preference. The overwhelming majority of the country support speed restrictions and penalties for driving under the influence.

What I was referring to was a small group of individuals at the highest levels of government (most are appointed, not elected) that make policy decisions and mandate conformity.....see Communist countries. Whereas we have legislative process.

the same processes that allow Moscow Mitch to have over 300 bills standing on his desk unattended because they don't follow HIS agenda?

the same processes that won't let us require simple background checks on gun buyers despite it being supported by 86% of the American public?

the same processes that allowed and harbored refuge for slavery, systemic hate, and a litany of other horrid disparities?

the same processes that now threaten to curtail voting for those same voiceless people you purport to protect?

I think you need to spend time paying attention to those processes more and Faux "news" less.
