You’re half right. The headlines I saw did not state “enormous pressure”, but “growing pressure”. I had no interest in reading the actual article as the headline itself told me all I needed to hear. Also, I seriously doubt he would make this public if it was just a few people reaching out. Regardless, I doubt anyone will be able to articulate an intelligent reply as to why Ben Stiller should give any of these requests a second thought with all that we have going on in this country.

He was talking about it on a podcast. He didn't "make it public" so much as just bring it up in conversation. I'm not saying it's not a stupid thing to ask him to do, but I don't think it's the huge deal some people might be implying.

I respect your opinion, but mention the Ben Stiller article as someone who is an undecided voter. I have been voting since 1984. I have voted Republican 4 times, Democrat 3 times and a third-party candidate twice. It’s really hard to be much more center than that. The reason Biden is ahead is because of how poorly Trump has handled this pandemic. However, don’t get too cocky thinking that the lead is insurmountable. People in the center are growing very tired of the nonsense we’re reading about trying to change history (like editing Zoolander, taking down statues, etc) and defunding the police. It would be great for Biden if these types of articles stopped surfacing for the next few months.

who is being cocky about it? if I seem assured about anything it's that trump is an asshole. he still has his little cache of idiots who think he hangs the moon and know nothing about his true demeanor nor do they even care. they don't care about the fate of our country or the world ... they only care about "schoolin' those libs".

Creating enemies is all he has... I've been saying it the whole time. His entire platform is creating an enemy or a problem, and positioning himself as the solution or protector. Pretty much everything he does falls into that category. He can't just win on his own merits, he has to do this. Plus, he's been doing it for years. The guy railed on Obama for his Ebola response. He went on with the birther non-sense... Railed on Obama for playing golf. Railed on Obama because of a single DOW drop, saying he should resign because of it, lol. It would be very difficult to list all of his aggressive content, because he does it full time for years, even now as POTUS it's all he does.

Just in the last few days he has attacked... This is seriously the last 48 hours. It's all he has. It's all he does.

It’s well documented that the “bounties” on US soldiers has been going on for 15 years or more in Afghanistan. Both Russia and Iran have issued bounties. Obama was briefed on it in 2010. See, I think we agree on this point but the animosity from the argument has clouded all of that. Someone is making money from this endless war but it’s not the American taxpayer. I believe in Capitalism but lying, cheating, and stealing is not capitalism. War mongers that profit are not capitalists. They’re criminals.

I support God, family, and country. I support anyone that wants to cone to America and live the American dream, regardless of race, creed, or color. If they want to come here and live by our laws, pay taxes, and follow the rules like the rest of us, I support that.

I don’t support the destruction of the family, destruction of religion, destruction of American history. I don’t care much about statues but lawlessness and mob rule must not be allowed. Both sides need to reconcile their past sins. People that hate America should choose another country. If you want to be socialist, go to a socialist country. no, we dont agree on anything. You WANT to say you agree with egalitarianism - but in the same breath you claim that lying, cheating, and swindling are not an inherent part of capitalism:
- You seem to think there are bright lines dividing different economic theories as if some morality exists when we all know it doesnt.
- You disregard the FACT that capitalist ventures rely on the exploitation of new markets in order to meet the profit requirements for dividends ... and when those markets dry up the ongoing ventures resort to AUSTERITY measures which generally begin with deducting employee benefits.
- You likewise disregard the FACT that this gray area necessitates a hybridization of economic policies between free market and regulatory schemes to protect the workers.
- and last you disregard the effects of citizens united on individual sovereignty.

POTUS is confusing the American public by telling them the wrong things. This confusion has led to mixed messages such that I can show you specific examples where people say "I hear so many different things that I didnt know which to follow".

I know without any doubt in my mind that Fauci is right and trump is wrong. All over the world other leaders know it as well. They are smart enough to follow the scientists lead. Trump is not. Since the cost of his failure is potentially DEATH I choose to not follow him and recommend the same to others. I can't believe anyone with an IQ over 80 wouldnt do the same.

Does it bother me that the president of the US is such a f*cking idiot? Of course it does. I thought Bush was an idiot as well but he seemed to have enough sense to come out of the rain. trump does not - and he wants to drag others down with him. Secondly, even if what you said was accurate it is no way a defense of the actions (or inactions) of your cult leader. I realize it’s all you have to cling to but it’s really sad and pathetic.
