I read that article, too. Maybe you missed the video report I saw this morning when a reporter called the NBA store to ask specific questions about approved messages. He was told “Kill Police” was okay, but “Free Hong Kong” was not.

I think the NBA got caught with their pants down, so they used the old standby “equipment glitch” excuse.

"Free Hong Kong" exceeds the 12 character limit, and now that has been fixed. Not everything is a conspiracy.

oh well good. I guess all is fine then. Nothign at all wrong

Okay, if you think the NBA bows down to China too much, that is a valid concern, so you can not watch or organize a boycott I guess. We can let the free market take care of it.

You know whats funny about that? For years I would argue with my libertarian buddy and during my rants about this or that, he would say, "use your purchasing power.... if you have a problem with how Walmart does something, just don't shop there"...

But now if you do that, it's called Cancel Culture. Like Ted Cruz being mad at people for boycotting Goya, when for political reasons he tried to lead a boycott of Nike, lol.

Yep, it is interesting, there's been a complete reversal in that viewpoint.

LOL trying to compare the two is hilarious.

I'm all for boycotts when they are over something meaningful like fair pay, women's rights, etc.

I'm not pro boycotts because a company makes a positive statement about the POTUS.

I'm sorry if you can't see the difference. There is a vast difference between cancel culture and good old fashion boycotts.

If I really cared, I would boycott the NBA. I'm satisfied seeing them called out on this though.

How does freehongkong exceed the 12 character limit?

It doesn’t. The NBA “fixed it” after “they got caught,” as I correctly stated earlier.

Sheepdogs1 is right, money talks. Politicians don’t have a corner on the lying through their teeth market. The heads of some large corporations are good at it too.

I already stated it a couple times.

You really don’t see an issue with boycotting a company at simply bc the ceo supports the active potus? Let alone the charge of boycott is being run by a member of Congress.

If Ted Cruz would have called for a boycott of Whole Foods because their ceo supported Obama would you not think that is the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard?

All this from the art of tolerance?

I think Ted Cruz calling for a boycott of Nike because they decided against selling a particular shoe is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but I don't really care what Ted Cruz wants to boycott and I've never once spoken out against boycotts. It's a free country.

It’s funny. One person wants to boycott someone for being American and the other for something unAmerican.

I know who I stand with
