You’re both right, of course. It would be interesting to know more about this kid. Assuming he has parents, did they know he was running around downtown with an AR in his hand? I wouldn’t be shocked to learn he’s from a fairly well-to-do family. Thanks to the pandemic, kids his age are bored. Who the heck knows why teenagers do stupid things sometimes. I was a teenager once, so I know what it was like. So do you. And, you’re right, he put an end to three lives, one of them his own.

The 17 year old will walk with a gun charge at worst imo. A person shot a gun in the air first. That man needs to be charged with manslaughter/Felony murder rule. He started the whole thing escalating (other than the first man that pursued and threw stuff at The 17 year old - also was a convicted pedophile fyi) (also the man shot in the arm was a felon that was holding a pistol clear as day)

I'd stay in Maine. But a conservative NYC would be intriguing

Oh, I never noticed you were from Maine. I see it next to your picture now.

I love Maine, been up there several times for work. A really beautiful place. I've been to Portland several times.

Just wish Jacob Blake was afforded the same opportunity.

He was given the opportunity to surrender to police. He chose to brawl with them in the street when they served a warrant. After being tased, he went to his car to get a knife. I don’t agree with shooting someone in the back 7 times, but let’s not act like he didn’t have a chance to comply. He made a bad choice and now he’s left with the consequences.

He waived that opportunity by resisting. If he talked to the officers and followed their orders hed simply be in jail for that warrant.. i dont get how this is controversial

As long as it's televised I will absolutely still watch and don't care which country they are playing in.

I wonder, if the NBA did play in China, would they cancel games to protest the racial and social injustices in China? 2 million+ in concentration camps, forced sterilization, forced abortions, rape, religious persecution, etc. Or would they continue to take the Chinese money and keep their mouths shut?

Great post. Looks like self defense to me.
I can't comment on why he was there with a gun and if that was legal, but he did not look to be the instigator in any of the shootings from what we have seen

There's no way I could answer that for them.

Jacob Blake should have been manhandled for not complying at the very beginning. The 4 policemen had the opportunity to subdue him & made a mistake. Once he reached in the car I understand the officer's choice to shoot, but it should've never got to that point.

This kid is illegally walking around during a protest toting an AR, kills 2 people & shoots another, and is allowed to go home & turn himself in the next day.

It baffles me how you say the 1st guy got what he deserved & are defending the 2nd.

This is not logic or reasoning. It’s disingenuous. Fleeing the scene does not equal being allowed to go home. Had the cops showed up and he resisted arrest in the same manner, they would’ve shot him too.

Shocker, the other guy that died was a criminal too.. tons of domestic abuse charges. Crazy what kind of people antifa/blm attracts at these riots.. he also hit the 17 year old in the head with a skateboard.

Just because these 3 dudes were felons, pedophile, and criminals still doesn't mean that they deserved to die or be shot, esp the 2 people in the 2nd shooting incident (the 1st guy has more culpability and i could see how those 2 people may have thought they were doing the right thing), but when both sides of these morons are out doing dangerous stuff bad things are going to happen. I blame the governor a ton for allowing this situation to happen

But to be fair, the 17 year old has some misdemeanors too. Nothing as violent as those 3 tho

He tried to give himself up to the cops and they let him walk right by.
