Not sure how many minutes Freeman, Manek and Polla will see. Probably about the same Freeman saw last year, hopefully more if he knocks down 3s more consistently. Think one of them will redshirt?

Freeman already has redshirted, as he joined the team in mid-season (January, 2016) and practiced with the team that second semester. He was listed as a RS-Freshman on the 2016-17 roster.

Manek needs to add bulk and strength to compete with college big men, so he might profit from a redshirt season.

Yep, lost his place, plain and simple. Shep will be as good, and Young should be better. Not much playing time for a third string pg.

I agree but I'm sure there will be times...atleast I hope so, when we have shepard and trae playing along side each other....it would be nice to have a competent third pg. Although I imagine that James or mcgusty and serve that position if needed

I can't imagine James playing point guard. Or if I do it would be in my nightmares...

I am sure you guys are right about him being expendable and needing other spots filled. Not arguing that either. It probably is for the best.

Personally I think DSM played much better late in the season than Walker played all of last year. DSM on last year's team probably makes that a better team but not by a lot. However, he played on a dismal team so this is probably for the best.

I agree it is sad whenever a player transfers. Something can be sad yet also be for the greater good. There is a little used word that fits these situations: bittersweet.

Are there any other speculations for another transfer or do we keep the rest of the team intact?
