but that is not relevantAnd it says more about the fanbase than it does him.

I think it’s very relevant. This fanbase will turn on any coach very quickly.but that is not relevant
You're crazy for this narrative if you think OU basketball fans are tougher on coaches than most fan bases. Texas just fired a guy (rightfully so) who made three tourneys in three years. A vocal minority of KU fans want to move on from Self -- a two-time champ, HOFer, and one of the best coaches ever. KSU fans are on Tang. Tommy Lloyd was getting heat before this season for not getting it done in the tourney. All fan bases do this. That doesn't mean it's wrong when it comes to Moser.I think it’s very relevant. Except OU football didn’t have NIL until this year, either.I think it’s fair to call ou basketball fans expectations pretty unreasonable when they are dead last in attendance, dead last in arena, bottom 2 in NIL in conference.
It is hard to compare ou to ku, Zona, and now trxas during the NIL era.
On the other hand, I think ou should have already fired the football coach. The expectations are much greater for ou football than basketball.
HAHAHA is this also from your sources? Because most sources, including those who are VERY friendly to Venables, have indicated we had top 10 or 15 NIL last season. JFC the length some of you will go to in order to avoid calling out bad coaching when it is staring you in the face.Except OU football didn’t have NIL until this year, either.

that is simply not trueExcept OU football didn’t have NIL until this year, either.
But it is. Quite widely recognized. We did not have the NIL we needed until this year. We are mostly caught up, but we were WAY behind before.that is simply not true
“We needed” is doing an awful lot of work hereBut it is. Quite widely recognized. We did not have the NIL we needed until this year. We are mostly caught up, but we were WAY behind before.
this is a different thing (not having nil and not having NIL needed to win a national championship are not the same thing )We did not have the NIL we needed until this year.
football is top notch including the sec .. but other then that and softball no is the answerThe dreadful home performances are hard to ignore as a factor in this, but are we really going to argue OU has SEC-level fan support in any sport outside of softball?
Football is close, but not great as it relates to the SEC.
Because he’s getting paid $3mm+ annually and has a large buyout if he stays. He’s doing just fine from a financial perspective. That’s more of a literal/sarcastic answer to your question.Whether you believe it's deserved or not, that the opinion of a large portion of the fan base.
It's one of the biggest reasons I think moving on from Moser is needed. No way the crowd shows up early next season if Moser is back. He has to know/see that. Why would he want to be here?
We were so far behind at the beginning. And even if we were Top 20 (we weren’t) since when is Top 20 for anything OU football anything worth being happy with?this is a different thing (not having nil and not having NIL needed to win a national championship are not the same thing )
OU has been in the top 20 of NIL in Football ALWAYS ... and really much much higher then that ..
Is it possible - and I know it's a crazy concept so hear me out here - that Joe C has not been great as an AD in the new era of collegiate sports AND Moser/BV have underperformed in their roles given what have transpired under their watches? To be clear, I'm not out on BV just yet depending on how things go this coming season. But Moser? I've seen enough. We were so far behind at the beginning. ding ding ding we have a winner ...Is it possible - and I know it's a crazy concept so hear me out here - that Joe C has not been great as an AD in the new era of collegiate sports AND Moser/BV have underperformed in their roles given what have transpired under their watches? Rarely sell out any game other than the really big ones. A lot of no-shows to all but the best games. Not very much demand for selling tickets on the open market.
I mean, it's way better than Vandy or probably Kentucky, but even schools like Tennessee and Ole Miss make us look pretty stupid.
