NORMAN, Okla. -- Tickets for the Oklahoma men's basketball team's Dec. 31 Field House Series game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi are now on sale to the public.
Tickets for the 2 p.m. game, to be played inside historic McCasland Field House in the heart of OU's campus, cost just $10 ($5 for ages 2-12) and are available for purchase by visiting SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-4668. All public seats are reserved.
OU student tickets for the contest are free, but students must possess a physical ticket to gain entrance (available for pick-up online at SoonerSports.com or at the OU Athletics Ticket Office). Free OU student tickets will also be available at the west entrance before the game, while supplies last. Student seating will be general admission on the north baseline.
The OU Athletics Department has announced that the game will feature a 1940s theme, as the decade was one of the most successful in the basketball program's history. The Sooners won or shared a conference title in five of those 10 years under Naismith Hall of Fame head coach Bruce Drake, and finished in second place three times. OU finished 24-7 in the 1946-47 season and advanced to the NCAA championship game behind national player of the year Gerald Tucker.
Several 1940s-themed promotions and giveaways are scheduled for the game, including an OU men's basketball historical poster for all fans, an OU slinky for the first 500 kids (age 12 and under) and reduced concessions prices ($0.25 popcorn, $0.50 16-oz. fountain soda, $1.00 bottled water/soda, $1.00 hot dogs and $1.00 nachos).
Additionally, select game staff members will wear 1940s-themed clothing, and music from the era will be featured throughout the afternoon.
Information on more Dec. 31 Field House Series promotions and activities will be announced in the coming weeks on Twitter (@SoonerSportscom and @SoonerHoops).
Oklahoma beat Central Oklahoma 94-66 in the first Field House Series game on Nov. 7.

I'd give my eye teeth to be at that game. I love that era, and I have some clothes that would be perfect.
